“I want to give a HUGE Shout out to Dan. He was literally God sent. I was going home to NY from a family gathering and my car started smoking. It was late on a Saturday night, and everything around me was closed. I drove to the gas station just to get out of the road. Dan saw me extremely upset and asked how he can help me. I explain to him that my car had smoke coming from the engine, but the car wasn’t overheating. He had explained to me that he had a similar problem one time with his vehicle, and he was able to fix it. He went to see if I had the same problem as he previously did. This incredible human being got a shoelace from the store, and was able to fix the wire that was leaking that was producing the smoke. I was able to make it safely home from New Jersey to Brooklyn in a little over an hour. The car never throw smoke again and drove smoothly. I was even able to drive around the next day to find a mechanic to fix the problem correctly. I owe Dan a huge thank you. He went above and beyond to help me out and didn’t charge me anything. I will be forever indebted to Dan. If you know who I’m speaking about, please give him a huge, thank you. He is a great person. I hope you read this one day and understand how truly appreciative I am for your help that evening. You were my angel that day.”

They have a hugh selection of convenience foods and basic household staples in a pinch, sell lottery and cigarettes if that's your thing too. Gas prices a little higher than BP but it is not watered down with ethanolSo if you want untreated gas this is your place.Not sure why our town was so against this, it's truly a well kept mini mart/gas station”

I have difficult dietary restrictions and the chef worked with me personally to make sure I never had to worry, going so far as to make me a separate batch of food. She even added some fresh herbs from their (organic, I think she said) garden! All the little touches around the place showed such careand love. Occasionally I'll try another mechanic for convenience purposes, but at the end of the day it's damn near impossible to find somebody better than them.They may not always be the fastest option out there (though they always do their best to accommodate) but if you want the job done RIGHT with no bs, go to Lou's. Their prices are always very reasonable, and never once have they tried to upsell or bait-and-switch me. They will also let you know which issues are more urgent than others, so that YOU can make the best choice for your situation. Good luck finding another mechanic with that level of honesty!”
