Extremely Disappointing Experience at Burlington – Palisades Center
I walked into the store around 5:45 p.m. to look for clothes. After spending over an hour carefully browsing and selecting items, I was ready to try them on—only to find out that the dressing rooms were closed. Seriously? A clothing store without access to fitting rooms during business hours is completely unacceptable.
I approached an employee, an African American woman who, to be honest, spoke to me in a very rude and aggressive manner. Despite her attitude, I chose not to escalate things and instead asked to speak with the manager.
That’s when the experience went from bad to worse. The manager, a young man covered in tattoos, piercings, and with an intimidating presence, greeted me with even less professionalism. I’m not judging him by his appearance—everyone has the right to express themselves—but his behavior was unprofessional and hostile.
When I explained the situation and how much time I had already wasted, his response was:
“And what do you want me to do? I don’t have to open the fitting rooms. We don’t have the staff.”
No empathy. No solution. Just disrespect and a total lack of customer service.
I left frustrated, feeling like I had just dealt with people who treat customers worse than street thugs in the Bronx. I’ve been shopping in the U.S. for years and have never experienced such poor treatment.
Rating: 1 star.
If I could give zero, I absolutely would.

Store is trashed, and everything... I mean EVERYTHING has a security tag or locked up. You heard me right, CLOTHES is locked up!!! Crazy!! I did find a couple good deals while I was there. Lots of stuff out of place, this does not help either. Random empty racks and storage carts blocking isles. Place is crazy. Good thing was on a MONDAY they had tons of registers open. So it made checkout go by pretty quick. The lady behind the county was super rude for no reason at all. That was fun.

I was very dismayed today, to find the coats LEASHED, and cramped, stacked one row hanging over a lower one and not easily accessible. To try on a coat good luck finding someone to unlock it! This is a time consuming procedure for staff and there is not enough staff to deal with it nor do they want to.. If the store wants to deal with coat theft, they should get some cameras and more security. Locking and cramping the coats is horrendous and they will lose many sales due to this new setup which I hope they change before they lose more customers. I was a loyal customer but will no longer be able to get coats there. Wonder how much they spent on wiring all the coats!? NOT a solution.

Looked at this store during my visit to the pallisades mall on Wednesday April 10th 2024. Looked very organized, and clean. Exactly like the commercials on tv you see, they have everything from clothes, coats, homegoods, perfume, toys, shoes, and beauty items. Looked around, and found nothing of interest but, it was worth looking here. I didn't buy anything though, maybe i will if i am ever here again!
