TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE & EXTREMELY RUDE & UNEDUCATED TO COINS/BULLION!!
I made a trip to Philly from MD to visit Capo’s & South Street Coins. I had arrived in Philly late in the afternoon so after I was finished all of the other coin shops were about to close. I went on Google to see if any other coin shops were open and US Rare Coins and Gold popped up. So I took the drive.
Upon entering there was one gentleman who told me his name was Jeremy with zero customers in the store. He sat in a desk far off into the corner. He didn’t get out of his seat the whole duration of my visit. (The desk is 15-20 feet from the show cases). Was chatting on his phone with someone half the time I was their. I asked him about a couple prices on items in the display case. He had 1gram gold karat bars. He said they were $250. I asked him again to make sure I was hearing him clearly. “You said $250 for your 1gram gold?” He said “yes $250.” I told him he must of been mistaken for 1/10th’s. He said no our grams are $250.
Mind you JMbullion & Apmex are around $100. (Which is still high atm).
I then proceeded to ask about some 1oz silver lunar rat coins he had. He said $30/ea. (Ok not bad considering it’s a retail store.) I then asked what’s the cost on an entire tube of them (20coins). He said how many do you want? I said “a tube”. He said if you buy x10 it’s $28/ea. I asked “$28 for a tube also?” He said no they’re $30.
I had to explain to him I was asking about 20 of them. He didn’t like my frustration and said now because of the energy you’re putting off it’s $30.
So long story short I didn’t purchase anything. It was extremely frustrating trying to conduct business with someone who had absolutely no place in a coin shop. The employee was absolutely clueless and extremely rude.
$250?!?!?! For a gram of gold. Not a 1/10th a GRAM! And he doesn’t know what a “tube” means. Didn’t even get out of his seat.
Remember when I said I was in Philly looking at coin shops? I had $4,500 in cash on me and was ready to spend.
I hope the owner of this store sees this and fires the employee who was working today. I do business through out the DMV and the TriState area. Will definitely be spreading the word for people NOT to waste their time here.

Don't waste your time with this guy, he's very wishy washy. I walked by his shop one day and his "Out for a quick break" sign was on the door with his cell number next to it.I called him and he said that he was getting dinner at the food court and would be back in about 15 minutes. So I walked around another store for that amount of time and came back. He wasn't there, so I stood outside for another 10 minutes or so. I called him again, thinking that maybe he had an emergency bathroom stop or something on the way back.He didn't answer his phone the second time, so I waited another 10 minutes then just left. If he wants business, he has a funny way of showing it!

I contacted the owner when I saw a ‘quick break’ sign up. It’s been two hours and no response. They should update their business hours instead of claiming they are open and pretending to be on break.

Called ahead to make sure they would be open, the gentleman that answered said yes. When I arrived it was closed, and when I called back he promptly hung up and blocked my number. DO NOT GO HERE

I am giving the store a one star because they don’t have coins to sell!! Yes, the coin store in the mall does not sell coins. How come you ask? They stated all their business was just buying coins and not selling so they stopped selling. This is not stated anywhere on the website or any public pages I can find. Very disappointing for individuals who come in to buy coins.

Don't ever go here
They say one thing and try to low ball you at the end of your sale.
Bad business practice
I gave them one opportunity and they failed so now they lost a potential great customer
