Dr Sean Hillock in internal medicine is an absolutely horrendous human being and vet. This man should not be allowed near any animal or person and should certainly not be practicing veterinary medicine. His complete wrongful diagnosis of our beloved amazing dog together with his lack not communication and interest absolutely led to our dog's demise. Dr. Hillock is unprofessional and negligent. To make matters worse he is a defensive jerk with a total attitude who places blame on the grieving pet owner. Awful person. Shame on him. Dr. Moirano in Radiation Oncology and his staff are amazing wonderful vets and people. Any animal is lucky to be in their care. Note that it is extremely difficult to get through by phone to the hospital. A 30 minute hold time is the norm.

I have used VMCLI on multiple occasions. My dog Merri has problems with his neck and neurological. They have been nothing be great with my animals and helping us get them back on track. My other dog Pippin had eye problems and their specialist there was also great. I would take my dogs there for anything that need special attention.

I called over a month ago to make an appointment with my pup for a neurologist. I was told the doctor needed to review the paperwork before we could even get a consultation. Here we are a month later and I had to call them back to ask if it was reviewed and they just called me back and said the doctor is refusing all new patients and that there is nothing they can do Absolutely ridiculous that it took a month for them to tell me that they can't even see my pup and now I have to try to find somewhere else and hopefully my pets condition has not worsened. You guys really need to work on your customer service.

My friends went here with their dying/dead dog and there was ZERO sympathy, empathy or actual help. Charged 3x for trying to bring the dog back to life knowing VERY WELL IT WASNT GOING TO HAPPEN. These people shouldn't be vets they're just looking for innocent pet lovers for money. Money hungry inconsiderate "doctors". So sad what they went through. Lost their best friend and charged 3x because the vet kept leaving the room to ask them if she should "keep going". Insane much? Really is that normal?

Went in for an "emergency" visit with my bunny around 12am due to his lack of appetite in the evening. Before even going I administered Simethicone to ensure it was not just gas. There was no visual improvement after two doses. Got to VMCLI and they said your rabbit has GI stasis. Which he has previously had and previously had gas. They wanted in patient care with a cost up to $2,500+. For outpatient wanted to just give me cisapride and other treatments. Cisapride they couldn't get until the morning anyway because they do not keep it in house. I ended up going home with just a consultation, some Critical care and some Metacam. When I got home I administered one dose of Propulsid that I have in an emergency kit for him that I have and the metacam they provided. Never even needed the critical care. Would love to return it. He was eating and going to the bathroom as soon as I got home. Appears to be a misdiagnosis by VMCLI. Likely was Gas not stasis. This visit cost me $301.00 for essentially nothing on their part. $301.00 seems quite excessive even for a "exotic emergency visit" (Cost includes Meds)I will self diagnose based on my experience and rabbit knowledge from this point forward. Unbelievable. Someone really dropped the ball there.

I'm sorry to see that this place has so many negative reviews. I brought my dog in late at night on an emergency and she was seen very quickly. The vet communicated well and set realistic expectations of both the prices and course of treatment. There was great follow-up the next day by the specialists. Not really sure what more someone could ask. We're lucky they are in this area as there really are no other good options.

Expensive and treatment is not sustainable. They typically do not offer long term, renewable prescriptions, and purchasing medications directly from them can be more than double the cost. Upon arrival, they will ask if you give them permission to perform certain treatments (some are not required), and they will perform them without making you aware of the cost until it finally shows on your bill after the visit. When asking if certain treatments are necessary or present them with specific healthcare questions , they will give you the run around or say they are unable to answer. Presumably for liability reasons. Upon treatment, even the most helpful/caring employees seem to shy away from your questions which is stressful. Especially when you've just paid hundreds to thousands for an issue that will probably have to be revisited shortly. When needing a solution or prescription that is actually sustainable (usually involves seeing a specialist), good luck finding an appointment in a timely manner. That's assuming you can cover the costs. Some front staff has been wonderful, others have terrible attitudes. Sometimes this shows when you call in, before you even arrive at the facility and make them aware of your issue. Understandably the job can be stressful, like many/most occupations. However, this is what was signed up for. See your vet unless it's an absolute emergency.

I have a Golden Retriever which I got when he was 7 months old. He has gone through numerous times of having Giardia and not being able to resolve the issue for months. Along with that he has had loose stools from the beginning till 2 months ago. I have spent a lot of money going to different specialist and with all their suggestions did not help. Now with DVM Samantha Barth she has answered my prayers and he is now having good or great stools all the time. I don't know why others have given a low review of them but I would give DVM Barth a 100. I could not ask for more. Even now when I need information she always gets back to me. No matter where any of us go it is expensive and if it is not you better think twice. These are our babies and always will be. The money you spend where you can get the answers cannot be an issue. The most unknowledgeable butchers I've ever come in contact with in this field. They just want your money and it's no coincidence the day I went that so many people left with ashes. They really don't care and I regret ever walking into this place but had no choice given the day and time of the incident and my location. For reference, they told me they have an exotic doctor and when I came there they told me they aren't present but they'll FaceTime with the doc. That's ridiculous! So I saw a regular doc with no knowledge of the situation but got charged as if I saw the actual "expert." I'm convinced 100% if I went anywhere else that my rabbit wouldn't have been killed. Worst emergency vet!!! Steer clear!!!

DO NOT take your bunny here! My bunny had an eye infection and after I left my bunny died in their care. All they care about is money. I'm so sad that I trusted this place. I honestly believed that if I would've waited for a later appointment in the day at another place my bunny would be alive. It took them close to a month to refund my money after I called multiple times. I was still charged $1300 for a bunny that didn't live. If I could give 0 stars I will. Please learn from my experience.

I am so happy with my experience with the neurology department at vmcli. Starting with Heather at reception who went above and beyond to get my 10 year old Chihuahua in as soon as possible for neurology consult. to Dr. Barone, who gave her an extensive physical exam and explained all the options that could've been causing my little one so much pain. To Dr Pastina and Dr Reuter who administered an MRI diagnosing Maia with a slipped disc which was operated on the same day. Heidi was great as well during our physical therapy consult. Everyone was so knowledgeable and kind and took the time to explain everything to my understanding. Maia was in great hands. I dropped her off on Friday for her MRI and surgery and picked her up on Sunday morning. She is doing great so far and I am so grateful for vmcli.

Last night our girl Ella ate a lamb bone and vomited several times. We brought her to our local ER where xrays confirmed the bone was lodged in her esophagus. They worked for several hours trying to dislodge the bone at which point they called in Dr. Sean Hillock, an internal medicine specialist from VMCLI. Dr. Hillock was able to dislodge the bone saving our girl from an extremely invasive surgery and long, difficult recovery. We are beyond grateful for his skills and compassion towards Ella as well as our family and cannot express our thanks enough.

I would never recommend this place. I was sent here from Selden ER which called prior to ensure the dental dr was there drove in a storm 35 minutes to get my dog for an emergency dental as the artery in his mouth was bleeding and couldn't be stopped without yanking the tooth. Selden was not equipped which is why they called to confirm and sent me there. To my surprise I get there my dog bleeding from his mouth for them to tell me they dont know who sent me but dental isnt emergency and i would need to schedule an appt. sent me home and said my dog was clotting on his own but if he made a quick movement it reopened and was bleeding all over. they charged me over $300 for NOTHING. i was basically robbed i was shocked at what they charged me to tell me they dont know who agreed to that and the receptionist must not have understood... the vet i got in with next day in Medford was shocked they let me leave they did emergency surgery on my dog same day.
