Feb 18 my mom had taken our previous dog here to groom so our new guy Teddy has been coming in as well for the past year since we got him... to be fair, the groomers & grooming was fine better than fine actually Teddy looks great. The issue is that whomever they have @ the counter either doesn't know or doesn't care about customer service. My mom for got to tell me that it was "cash only" for grooming & all I had was cards... so I politely asked if an exception could be made for a 13yr+ customer given the fact that Visa & Mcard stickers were on the door & counter too by the register... he checks & says no cash only it's policy...so I drive to get cash and when I come back let the individual know that is the last time they will see Teddy for anything and he asked why?... Obliviousness aside I tell him "why" as his customer service was non existent @ which point he goes on to tell me he loves seeing his customers & dogs come in & be happy; really? Well I hope this was a one off & maybe he was ion a bad day or some such, but to make a customer drive home, leaving his dog & mom @ the shop so they can skim taxes off their grooming business, when clearly he could have extended a 1time courtesy use of a card to pay was it for me. If my mom chooses to spend her money there, that'll be her choice, but for me my cash goes elsewhere. Sorry Cozy Pet, but today was Crummy Pet experience. :(

I love this place!! The people and groomers here are always welcoming and eager to answer any questions you may have. My dog is a big baby and I have to hold her upside down to have her nails clipped, lol; The groomers here do this service for me with no problems and are a pleasure to deal with. Billy, the guy behind the main counter, is always friendly and nice. I would recommend this established pet location.

Actually , am giving this business a BIG ZERO. Brought our puppy there for grooming, expecting her nails to be cut. They were not, and when I called, was not happy with the gentlemen on the phone. Told me that nails grow fast. LOL not to this length in a week and a half, she is less than 7lbs. and 4 months old. He could've said to bring her in and we will cut them....did not Just lost a customer. Hope the gentlemen on the phone was not the owner. Terrible customer service

I've brought my dogs here for nail clippings & was always a pheasant experience. When I adopted my golden retriever rescue I've been bringing her here to Jim & she always looks beautiful & clean. I will continue bringing her here as long as Jim is here.

If I could give no stars I would. I feel like whenever me or my husband go in that place we get a horrible attitude from the front desk! I think his name is billy he has glasses and is always on his phone. And seems like we are inconveniencing him by giving him our business! Not going there anymore because i have been there several times and always witnessed the same thing with this guy. Overall, my dogs have came out very nice but the costumer service from this guy turns me away

dog grooming chaos, indifferent owner with poor customer with zero concern when the customer experience fails. with zero acknowledgement that dogs cannot be treated poorly. he continues to raise his prices as if he makes it up and sees if it sticks. Dont bother if you are looking for a groomer service and/or value for your product costs. likely cheaper and better experience from a mobile service and much less stress for your dog.

I don't know whatever happened to Charlie but he was the only reason I started coming to this place. I decided to stick around even after him and his wife left but today's experience is the last time I ever step foot in there ever again... Brought my dog in for a bath plus anal glands. When I got out to the car something told me to check inside my dogs ears and long behold there were FILTHY AF!!!!!! I'm not talking about just a spec of dirt or gunk here and there I'm talking about a majority of her ear COVERED in gunk!!! That tells me they didn't clean her ears which really upsets me bc it's included with that service. I went back in and they took her to the back to clean out her ears and globs of gunk were coming out her ear. She is prone to ear infections so it is something I should be looking out for but that's besides the point... How can you hand her back to me like that?!? When I eventually get home I noticed that once my dog started walking around I could hear her nails "tapping" along the floor which means that they're too long and weren't filed down short enough...As many times as I've gotten her nails cut I've never had that issue. When I took a closer look I could see her nails need to be a little shorter. So I call explain my issue and make the trip back over there to have them file her nails down a little more. After everything was said and done the groomer then tells me that it's her fault for this situation and she takes blame for it because she's training someone. I explained to her that this is unacceptable and I'm more bothered by her ears than her nails because her ears were just downright DISGUSTING with how filthy they were. As the pet owner I try my best to keep up with grooming but let's face it...sometimes life gets in the way and we can't get around to doing what we need to do at certain times. This is not the first bad experience I've had with this location which is why I'm writing this review. The guy who answers the phone can be condescending at times or just a downright smart a*** I'm now questioning if her anal glands were even done considering her ears were obviously not cleaned (they cleaned her left ear and I cleaned the right one when I got home smh) and her nails were still long. Instead of apologizing and saying sorry over and over how about giving me a refund of my money for the inconvenience instead?!? That's what a good business does.. I mean... how sorry are you..??

Make sure you take your receipt when purchasing something from this store. I had purchased a litter box, and I went back the next day to return it because it wasn't big enough, and the same guy that sold me the litter box told me I couldn't return it because I didn't have the receipt, I never took the receipt from the store. Very unprofessional, terrible customer service do not recommend, do not shop there.

Paid $1,500 for jet a pet to clear customs for my dog and ground transport. If you do your research, you'll know I got scammed already, which we did know but didn't contest the price (reason will be evident later). Contract was like it was written by a middle schooler, no terms or conditions, told us to fill a form that they themselves didn't know how ans was clearly liability that should be signed by the third party, not us. A China agency arranged everything (all paperwork) and all I requested was a photo upon arrival. So that means the 1,500 was to print what China emailed them and wait at the airport, confirm my dog is alive, and send her to a pet hotel that I arranged. I kept in touch with their manager, lisa, the whole 24 hour journey and been texting her every hour on the hour for a photo to just prove that my dog is alive and well. After 4 hours of waiting since 2:30am just for this picture, she tells me her drivers didn't take a picture because of a "mis communication " and is on route. Blamed the drivers. When I called her for an explanation, she couldn't provide one. I demanded accountability and compensation, she straight up stopped replying to me. Jet a pet was selected not by us but by a mainland China agency (questionable IPATA company with the same logo as a company in US) . We used the china agency because we didn't know better and had no other choice in getting our dog to leave China before the July 14 cut off. Honestly, they weren't all bad. The main person was lovely, it wasn't until a woman named Cindy in Beijing that it became traumatic. Cindy left our dog 15 hours at cargo in Beijing before a 24 hour journey (12 hour flight, 4 hour layover, 9 hour flight). I asked her about it 6 hours before she left my dog there and she claims she was too busy to reply to me. She never communicated the drop off and lied about it. Once they realized I was livid, their excuse? China clearance government doesn't work at night. When I called their bluff, now it's because of covid. Best part is? Right after I discovered they just left her at the airport, they panicked about getting the rest of the payment. Literally. Lisa was their selected partner whose average turnaround was 2-3 days for one email. I knew it was suspicious so I checked jet a pet ratings on Yelp. To my heart wrenching discovery, the ratings were exactly what I suspected. When I told the china agency I wasn't comfortable with jet-a-pet, they said we could switch but it could risk my dog missing her flight because there needs to be multiple approvals. This, by the way, was after they changed the entire agreed upon flight and schedules without our consent and only informed us after the fact. I am completely and utterly traumatized and feel like my dog was held hostage. Thank god she arrived alive. Sure, jet a pet will say they have never had an animal die on their watch. Perhaps. But the people handling your animal doesn't give two shits. And management only cares about unethical overprice and no follow up. *disclaimer: if you are like us and end up having no choice- my only advice- read their contract and insist on your own terms be written in black and white. Insist they reply to you. They left it till 48 hours prior to our dog landing to finalize documents, left us with no room to go over anything .

I don't know what happened to this place when they closed the Babylon store but whatever is going on in the west Islip location is atrocious. Whoever mans the front desk has zero social skills but I was able to look past that because our dogs always looked great and we loved our groomer Charlie. We recently found out Charlie left (with two days notice, I understand why he'd want to get the hell out of there) so we made an appt with 'Jim'. The day before our first appointment we were called by a young girl telling us that 'Jim would be on vacation and we'd have to reschedule' umm okay? So we rescheduled for today, March 30th. I drove from PATCHOGUE to WEST ISLIP with my dog to be told that 'Jim is out sick' when I didn't see 'pleased' with that answer I was told 'Jim fell down the stairs and cracked his head open' okay, sure. When asked why we weren't notified earlier I was told that they tried to call yesterday but our voicemail is full. Sir, I am 30 years old. No one is leaving me voicemails especially not enough to make my mailbox full. This place is a joke now. Stay away! Not to mention the IRS fraud they are commuting with their cash only policy.

Can't say enough about the fantastic work that Jet-A-Pet did in getting our Vizla mix to Costa Rica. It was starting to look like we would have to leave our family dog of twelve years behind -- a heartbreak -- until Mel and Lisa of Jet-A-Pet came through for us big time with a solution. Lisa is thoroughly professional and walked us through all the logistics and paperwork, USDA, airline, etc. She's a pleasure to work with. Mel is the consummate professional trainer. He has a clear love for dogs and his decades of experience are very evident. He got our Lucy to Costa Rica without a hitch! Happy dog, happy family.
