I used to work here a couple years ago. I put in my two week notice because I had a better job offer, and that's what I told them when they asked why I'm leaving so they politely wished me the best. ? After I had started my new job, I continued to be a very happy customer at this Hannaford because I live right next to it. However one day, when I approached the deli department as a shopper, my old co-worker that I was also friends with on Facebook had offered to sell me some marijuana which we talked about in the past. It would have been for an elderly friend of mine in pain. Not me. LOL. So I was asking if we should exchange addresses, but I was doing it in code and sort of like a comedy skit, so one of my jokes was should I get your address? or how about I just give you mine! and I thought that he was playing back by saying no no no I don't play that.. I didn't know what he meant I thought he was playing along so I reinforced by saying hey buddy I'm not inviting you inside cool your jets! I'm just giving you my address so you can come to my porch okay trust is a must! stranger danger! etc... Basically I thought he was "acting" like I was trying to be a predator so I was "acting" back by turning the tables and talking to him like he was going to be the predator! But I guess it got lost in translation because the next time I came to the store to shop and turn in all of my freshly laundered Hannaford shirts that they make you pay for, the HR Guy brought me in a room alone with him to tell me I was banned from the store for making this kid uncomfortable. I was so tongue-tied. The HR guy was asking if I was trying to get his address and I told the truth but he didn't know the whole story. Also I'm on the spectrum which the HR guy had to have known because he hired me. So of course I thought this was a misunderstanding so I logged onto Facebook right away to tell my friend what was going on but there's no service in the building. Later I saw that this kid blocked me anyway. To this day I'm not sure how the misunderstanding happened between us and I also don't know how it was appropriate for a manager to ask a customer into his office alone with him... He had found me in an aisle and asked me to come with him into this side room and then he found out I was also trying to return freshly laundered t-shirts to him. He told me I was banned from this location and I have to leave immediately and that I can just toss the shirts so I left the building confused and crying and afraid if I wasn't moving fast enough he'd call the cops. Later I tried to plead my side with the man and he actually listened pretty deeply but I couldn't gauge if he just thought I was crazy. It hurt to be banned by the man that hired me because I thought he understood my heart. And it hurt that the shirts I had laundered were no longer good because of me. Like toxic waste had touched them... as workers we have to pay for each of our shirts past the one you get at orientation so I wanted to be a helpful person. Later I was able to talk to the store manager herself and be allowed back in as long as the kid I made uncomfortable isn't working at that time. It never felt quite right the whole situation and I think a great number of things could have been handled differently. Also, for somebody that I made uncomfortable he certainly spent a lot of time talking about wanting to get with women of a certain type you know the type that will let you do things to them that not every woman will let you do to them because that's a real woman and he went into a lot of detail. So the kicker is he made me uncomfortable often and I never even did anything. Now he works at a different Hannaford and I don't know if the same rules apply to this other Hannaford, so I'm constantly on the lookout and sometimes not shopping because of him and I don't know if he's going to get me arrested or I don't know! I wish someone would tell me what really went wrong becaus

Hannaford is a nice store. The produce catches your eye when entering the store and always looks amazing. They also carry things others don't. Very clean, always well stocked. My only issue is they are higher priced than their competition but I guess that's the way it is all over today. All in all it's a good store

There are limited grocery store options in the area, or else I would shop for groceries elsewhere more often. Clean store, nice people, usually stocked with what you need. Overpriced.

Nice staff, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. If you try to shop after 4:00 pm, they're out of many things that you want. They offer their own brands in the most popular sizes and the competitions brands in the less popular sizes. Not as good a selection of products as there was under the previous owners of this grocery store.

I was surprised this store had some great deals going on even after the 4th of July! I got a gallon of whole milk for $2.99. In my local store, it's closer to $4.Plus, I can "clip" coupons online that are automatically added to checkout without having to carry them around. The online shopping list is very helpful too, I just look at my phone instead of forgetting my list at home! They have curbside pickup if you prefer. This store is over 30 minutes from my house, but they're clean, friendly and well stocked, worth the trip!

I don’t review supermarkets usually but the five stars are for the employee Hamilton — his service is pro-active and caring :) He came out of nowhere and asked us what we are looking for. The item we needed was sold out. He said he’ll make sure he’ll bring it back in 2 days. We went there after 2 days and it was true! Thank you Hamilton! I hope Hannaford treats you right!

Made a trip here yesterday primarily for cat food which was on sale, and spent close to $100 in groceries. This is the Hannafords that's closest to me and where I routinely spend the bulk of my grocery dollars. Given that it's a 15 minute drive, I was less than pleased once home to find that 13 out of 24 cans of cat food were badly dented because of careless packing (they were tossed into a pile within the bag). I called to voice my frustration and spoke to Bill, the manager, who kindly offered to provide a $25 gift card for the inconvenience of having to make another round trip. However, when I returned today to exchange the dented cans and pick up the gift card there were only 4 cans left of that flavor and none other in stock. Bill then decided to just give me the 4 cans and call it a day. Either Bill can't do math or thinks I can't because essentially I paid for 9 cans that I returned to you without an exchange thereby reducing your gift card in half. Perhaps you don't think your customer's time is valuable. Guess what? After I use up this card I will gladly give more of my business to other stores and will avoid this Hannafords as much as possible. You have lost this loyal customer as a regular.
