I have been a faithful customer with ADT since 1999. I placed a service call recently to have my keypad checked. The issue being, the numbers did not always register when pressed. The technician Chris came out today. He tested the keypad by pressing various patterns of numbers on the keypad. He didn't think he had to exert much energy to press the buttons. He asked me to try. I had to use force to get the numbers to register. Chris and I went back-and-forth on the issue. He mentioned that before he could even replace the keypad, he had to get authorization. He reached out to his manager. Unfortunately, the manager would not authorize it. The cost for this keypad would normally have cost me $100. But because I pay a maintenance fee it would not have cost me anything . ADT would have had to eat the cost. ADT is multi billion dollar company. A $100 is like a drop in the a bucket for them. Yet they would not replace it. They don't seem to care that they're losing a customer over a keypad. If you are considering an alarm system, you might want to think twice about ADT!

Terrible service, one entity sells, jack up the equipment prices, then ADT charges monthly fees, they make it difficult to get out, fees, increases. Read the fine print. Never again.

So I have a contract with this company and now I know whey they make you sign a contract. We had to have an upgrade to one of the pieces of equipment. The technician came in and did the work then left. After he left I received the visit summary which explained what was done, what the labor and parts costs were, and had a place for me to sign. The signature says that I am agreeing to pay, agreeing the ADT can deduct the cost of the repair from my credit card on file, and any changes that may be required to the terms of my contract. There was a line in the signature box where I should have signed, however you will note that my description of what happened did not include the technician asking me to sign anything. So the technician forged my signature!!! To make matters worse, I completed the survey about the visit and I specifically put in the comments that this occurred and I wanted someone to call me so I knew that my concerns were noted and that I did not sign, nor consent, to anything on that document. No one has called me back - 3 weeks later. So one of two things occurred - one is that no one read the survey response which means it is a waste of time and they do not care about their customer feedback. Or worse, they did read the comment and have decided not to address the concern. Either way - this company forces you to sign a contract, then forges signatures to extend terms of the contract, and does not respond to customer's feedback about this practice. Makes you seriously question the security of a home protected by a company that is willing to forge documents and ignore customer concerns. I for one will not be renewing my contract and will be going to a company that I feel actually puts me in a safer position.

I have used the ADT security services and I'm not happy with the service. There was a alarm on in the middle of the night which my husband had to check out they never called me to check if we were OK. When I move to a different location and cancel their services. They still want to charge me for the alarm system which I'm no longer using.I'm not happy with ADT security services and I would not recommend this security system for any of my family or friends thank you

Sadly I have their service which I thought was great but customer service really doesn't provide customer service .. once you are signed up .. very difficult to cancel .. even if they can't provide good security monitoring as was the case with a vacation home .. very dissatisfied with their lack of solutions - other than we "ll charge you for cancellation. Bummer ..
