I had one of the worst experiences at the post office today, all thanks to Charlene and her absolutely awful attitude. From the moment I approached the counter, she looked like she couldn’t be bothered to help. No greeting, no eye contact—just an exasperated sigh, as if my mere presence was an inconvenience.
I tried to be polite, but every question I asked was met with short, dismissive answers and an annoyed tone. When I needed clarification about a package, she rolled her eyes and acted like I was wasting her time. And the way she slammed things around? Completely unnecessary. It was like she was going out of her way to make the experience miserable.
To top it all off, when I thanked her out of courtesy, she didn’t even acknowledge it—just turned away as if I didn’t exist. I get that working customer service isn’t easy, but there’s no excuse for treating people like this. If you hate your job that much, maybe it’s time for a career change

They just hire anybody nowadays. Theres an elder woman named Debbie who has no manners. Her tone when talking to customers is unacceptable. You can clearly tell she is miserable and hates her job. She should make everyones life easier and just quit. She would not look for a package that clearly said it was at their location

I am very disappointed that the American flag that flies at the Garnerville NY (10923) location is tattered and is in need of replacement. Could you please replace the flag and contact a local veterans group to properly retire the worn flag?

I am perplexed by the negative reviews! My experience has always been positive no matter who helps me. Furthermore, our mail is almost always delivered in a timely manner. No complaints here.

Good: 24 hour access and a package drop box and kiosk. Bad: The Office doesn't open until 10:00 am. Most of the staff are friendly and courteous. There was one agent who I believe hated her job, life and anyone who breathes. Apparently, Human Resources has a talk with her and now she says hello, goodbye, and have a nice day.

I have it on my security camera that the mail carrier ran to my house, put a "missed delivery" notice on my door, and ran into his mail car without even attempting to delivery any package. I then had to wait 2 more days to receive the package. the Garnerville post office said they could not assist in the matter. I've had similar issues two more times in the last 12 months. It seems like some days the carrier(s) either don't want to stick around to finish their deliveries, or take the day off, so they take shortcuts and there is no backup.

Too many mistakes here. Holding items there when not requested. Delivering to wrong address. Items not leaving on time. All mistakes were due to someone entering wrong tracking number during processing. You can't possibly blame everything on the customers either. Come on now...

Al at the counter is the best. Great local guy, always helpful and friendly. My local mailman is always great also. Mix ups happens when it comes to mail, but rarely with my delivery people. Lines do get long with people buying money orders. Al should be the postmaster and fix things.

Al is awesome. I would give this post office 5 stars if i only had to deal with Al. The woman everyone speaks of is quite possibly one of the most rude and miserable people I have ever met.

Honestly to avoid how rude everyone ive encountered at this uspo id recommend taking the extra like 5 minutes to drive im the direction of the palisades exits 13S and use the post office past the supermarket/shopping mall and animal hospital but before the stop light. Its small but the people there are always nice and don't make you feel like yiure burdening them by asking to do their jobs. So yeah, use the pomona post office and avoid the Garnerville location.
