Let me start by saying that my daughter has very fine, type 2A waves. I was very excited to have my 12y old daughter’s hair layered for the first time. However, the fact that most good reviews were close to 4 years ago should have been the clue! From the moment my daughter’s hair was washed, the hair dresser, Elia, was complaining about how “tangled and pool damaged” her hair was. This is April in New York! My daughter’s hair was not conditioned nor detangled at the wash station so of course it is going to be a matted mess immediately after scrubbing with what felt like dishwashing liquid! Trust me, my kid washes and detangles on her own on a daily basis. Elia then tells me that she is NOT sure she can blow dry my daughter’s hair due to damage!!! I said that for $50 she better do something more than smear the kid’s head in leave-in!
This lady proceeds with untangling with a leave in conditioner followed by the cut and blow dry.
To say that my daughter’s hair was a limp disaster when we left is actually being courteous! Not sure if this is the norm at Perfect Image, but we have never been to a hair salon that does NOT untangle your hair and rinse Before bringing you to the stylists’ chair. I would stay away from this place unless you are willing to walk them through the hair washing process 101: Shampoo, Rinse; Repeat; Condition (DETANGLE), Rinse, Style. ??♀️
Requested style: Simple cut and blow dry!

Take time to dry your hair even if you are only going to wear one color. They charge you for drying it even if you don't want to dry it or whether or not you have time to do it, and they don't warn you beforehand. They also don't have a sign anywhere indicating it.

A little on the pricey side but Ilya does a great job. The shampoo lady gives the best scalp massage. They are always busy so book in advance.

Do not recommend. They are not knowledgeable in the trade. The owner Eridanje is not sensitive to the customer’s needs, and just looking to make a quick dollar. Insensitive to hair/scalp conditions such as psoriasis. I find the staff to be ignorant in what is a well established profession.

Staff was incredibly friendly and prices are reasonable. Was really satisfied with the finished look. Looking forward to going back there again next month. Definitely reccomend this place to anyone looking for a great hair salon.

You must ask to see Denise Sanchez! I have been going to her for the past 3-4 years. Denise is kind, extremely friendly, personable and very professional. She never rushes and takes her time to let you know how important you are to her as her client. Denise is very knowledgeable about her products, what to use for your hair and why. She knows how to do every type of hair-including ALL types of curly hair! Denise helped me bring my hair back to a healthy state and my curls and I love her for it! Thank you Denise???

OMGosh! Everything!! The washer, she takes her time on your hair and very detailed making sure water does not drip down your face or you have left over residue in your ear or behind your ear and just a great washer. Scrubs so good. My hair dresser Elia is really good. She does just what you ask. Willing to listen and give good advice. So nice and kind and of course cuts hair superbly. She too takes her time on my hair. The salon is well maintain and clean. It is worth my hike from Nyack to there.

The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. They always make sure I feel comfortable. They're always offering beverages and snacks. Best of all, they really do a great job with my hair. There's never a wait time according to my appointments. Really love the staff and ambiance :)
