My daughter was at Doodle Bugs! for almost 4 years. The director when she first started was incredible and the team was great through the initial phase of the pandemic. Since that director left, they have gone through three or four subsequent directors. Her time at Doodle Bugs! came to an abrupt end when a person from upper management (Caroline) was visiting our branch. Without warning, I was called and informed by this upper management employee that my daughter would be dis-enrolled immediately because of her “dangerous behavior” and due to low staffing. I have quit my job to stay home with my daughter as a result. All of her teachers have been AMAZING over the past four years (hence a generous 3 stars). It was an awful way for my daughter’s time at Doodle Bugs! to end. She continues to talk about how she was “kicked out” of daycare. And now we are picking up those emotional pieces. We do love our infant daughter’s classroom and will be keeping her there for the time being.

So far I feel like my children are well cared for, they have been there 9 months, and they are happy and thriving. Even though still clingy at drop off, they are so happy at the end of the day. I love the cameras to watch our children, I feel like it is a clean and loving environment.

Our son has been attending Doodlebugs since he was 9 weeks old. All of the teachers he has had have been so kind and caring. They have helped him transition from the infant to toddler room. We love getting the photos in his daily report and it is always so comforting to know that we can access the web camera for his classroom.

Our three boys have attended Doodle Bugs in Webster for 8 years. We received a call from corporate at 11 a.m. on a Friday that it was our 3 year old's last day because of staff shortage. We were given no notice and we both work full time. They would not give us a reason as to why our son who has attended the center full time since he was an infant was chosen. We have to give 2 weeks notice when leaving the center, yet they gave us less than 24 hours. This business is very poorly run and the corporate office is awful. We do not recommend this center or any Doodle Bugs center. The corporate office has zero respect for the kids and families who attend their centers, and the teachers who work there. They also would not give the money they owe to us because you have to pay a week in advance. The teachers were all crying when I picked up my son today because they fired the director, who was amazing, and wouldn't let her say goodbye to her staff before she left.

The teachers and staff are so caring and kind - they truly want the best for the children!**Second Edit: We were incorrectly charged for an additional week despite being told we would not be. I had to call the center three times (and called/emailed the home office, but no response there) to confirm they’d reimburse us. We were told a check for that and our original deposit was mailed out ten days ago and have not received it.*Edit: I maintain my prior review that many of the teachers and staff are caring and kind, and want the best for the children. We were lucky enough to experience a few teachers like this, and a few staff members as well. However, since starting Doodlebugs 18 months ago, my son has had six teachers and six different classrooms due to staffing issues and shortages. We spent months walking in and not knowing what classroom he'd be in or which teacher he'd be with. For the past five months we were lucky to have the same (amazing) teacher and remain in the same classroom, but that has changed again. We need a setting that will provide for more stability, reliable care, and be a productive learning environment for our son. We finally removed him from the center this week.It saddens me to edit the review, as I had high hopes for the center. It was the first daycare that we enrolled our son in, after a great deal of research, and we'd heard such good things about it. We're disappointed, not only for ourselves, but for those at the center who truly strive to give our children the best and were not given the support they needed to be able to continue working there.

The cameras are useless, if your not staring at a computer all day theres no record of what happened, our son came home with a large scratch/ mark across the back of his neck that lasted all weekend, no report, no one seems to know what happened, and best part, no camera, even when on is in the corner, so when something does happen, all they have to say is i dont know and thats all you get, even with cameras, waste of money

This place used to be such a great center. We have two daughters and my oldest graduated from here. When our youngest was here it started off well until she went into the toddler room. When she started there shortly after was constantly coming home with rashes. We would also often pick her up and she would have soiled diapers, both 1 and 2. We tried speaking with the teachers first and would improve for a week or so and start over again. We brought to the center director and regional manager and same thing, would improve for a short while and go back to same thing, constantly coming home with rashes, one time so bad our daughter had blisters. It became very clear they had no oversight of duration between changes, we were told there was a 2 hour policy although she would go 3+ hours without changes. We then reported them to the OCFS and 2 days after their inspection we were unenrolled with 0 notice to move her to another center. We ended up moving her to a new center (which we already were looking after this terrible experience with DoodleBugs) and she has had 0 rashes. The customer service and management at this place is horrible, if you have an issue they will simply unenroll your kid than resolve it, I think they are also on like the 6th center director in the last 2 yrs (ever since the original director left that had been there for years).

We had to leave. After 4 different directors in six months, several teacher replacements, and two price increases it just got to be ridiculous. I am saving $400 a month by not going to doodle bugs. Guess what they are hiring for a new director again. They can’t keep employees and the prices keep going up. They increased prices in September and then again in January. They change policies in the middle and since the contract allows this there is nothing you can do. When I signed up I had the ability to get 2 weeks of 1/2 price vacations. When I went to put in my notification of vacation they said “ we no longer do that”.

My son is loving his time at Doodle Bugs! The teachers are wonderful and I haven't experienced any concerns about his safety or happiness there. They're managing storms that come their way and problem solving efficiently. My husband and I are grateful for them!

My daughter was asked to not return to the center with 4 days notice and the director informed me over email. Tried multiple times to speak with her but she seemed to be leaving the center earlier and earlier each day. Both the director and assistant both resigned from their positions at the same time and terminated my daughter 3 days before her last day at the center. I was given no notice or even advised that this was an option. She receives multiple services that were being held at the center that she can no longer get because of the lack of time the director gave me to find another center in which all other centers are full at this time. I was very pleased for the first few months and she was only enrolled for max 5 months. They called me every other day to pick up my child and complained when i didn’t answer right away but would never call her father who was the person that picked her up everyday. I would NEVER recommend this center. I hope the new director does something well here.

We've been at Doodlebugs for almost 3 years and live it there. I love the security systems, the safety protocols and of course the teachers!! They really love and care for the kids and are just wonderful! Would highly recommend.
