I use to find great deals on banded comforter sets (specifically Tommy or Ralph Lauren). Most of my comforters I have bought are from Marshalls.Over the last 2 to 3 years I have ventured out of marshalls but haven't been able to match the high quality and the price at Marshall's.”

“Boscov's is a department store whose emphasis appears to be on clothing. They may seem pricey but there is always some type of sale going on. They also feature furniture, home furniture and small appliances. Boscov's even has a candy section reminiscent of stores of the 50's and 60's. Franke in the shoe department is super helpful and knowledgeable. It's a half hour drive for us so we usually wait to go until we have a couple of things to do in that area.”

“Marshalls always has the BEST stuff for fall. From decorations, many different fall scented candles, to cozy fall clothes, jackets, scarves, shoes, (awesome kid selection as well including super cute boots) and you could even find a great purse to match a new outfit. I just love the wide variety of name brand products, all at decent prices. I'm sure I sound like a commercial but it's true. Their hair and makeup section is amazing and there's always good finds in the clearance spots. I also love the super low prices on their cat beds and scratch posts and I love checking out what kind of new kitchen gadgets they have. I could literally just spend a whole day and night checking out all the amazing finds. Oh, and they have these adorable pop up cards for basically any holiday that's on the way. The Halloween ones are always so cute. Just be careful because there's no way you're going to be able to only buy that "one item" you went there for, lol my arms always end up overflowing with stuff that I just have to have ?”

The clothing selection is on point, covering all seasons, and a bunch of them are legit brand names, often with sweet discounts. I had a blast trying on different outfits and snagged a few awesome deals.If you haven't checked these places out yet, you're missing out. Trust me, you won't be let down. I'm giving Marshalls and HomeGoods a big thumbs up – they're a must-visit, no doubt.”

“I can’t understand some of the bad reviews regarding the cleanliness of the store. I found the store very organized. They could put up Christmas decorations, but the customer service was amazing so many people helped me pick out perfume as a Christmas present for my wife. One particular associate in the moisturizer section deserves praise. Mary K was fantastic in helping me and very knowledgeable. She was super friendly, it’s was a pleasure shopping at the Colonie center location. Christmas wish is that Macy’s recognize excellence in Mary K who goes above and beyond. It is the employees that really make the shopping experience a positive one.”

“I love my local Target... wherever I have live. Target is dependably clean, well lit, and customer service, when required is usually helpful. For my tastes, they rearrange or redecorate too frequently, which can make it difficult to find some items. Target appeals to a younger demographic than Walmart, and has a lot of dorm furniture and furnishings. I prefer to shop at Target for paper products, cleaning supplies and toiletries. I do buy some food items, but Target has recently abandoned Target branded cereal and related grocery items, likely due to pressure from national manufacturers. Target has recently added French bread and ciabatta breads. They're delivered frozen, but they aren't bad compared to the equivalent bread in supermarket.”

“Fun, clean, good flow, many products are $5 and $4 dollars. Really have to watch the prices. Products never stick around long. When they're in the front seasonal section on the right and only a few are left, they either get moved to the back or on a table in the front, on the left at a discount price. They also have separate standing racks that are separate vendors. Not affiliated as a five below product. They are a vendor product. Will vary per store. Be careful on the purchase.”
