I have been with Center State Propane for several years. I am very happy with the service. We go to Florida for 3 months in the winter and I can trust that they keep my supply up while we are gone so the house is kept warm and pipes don't freeze. I highly recommend them to any new customers.

My Wife and I have been very happy with Center State Propane. We switched because our old company was very impersonal and not particularly responsive with questions and concerns.Beginning with the office staff we found them to be very friendly, helpful, and great to deal with. The men who delivered the tanks were on time, professional, answered all of our guestions, and just plain nice guys.We are very glad we switched and appreciate the discounts we are receiving.

Their ad says “Center State is a NO FEE propane company” Here is proof that is not true and of their outlandish prices: 4 tanks, one account-son and 82 yr mom, two houses-one behind the other, $300.00 fee to pick up 4 tanks when we terminated service with Center State. We switched from Center State because their price for propane based on usage and any applicable fees was higher than four other companies and even higher than the NYSERDA regional rates for our area. Absolute truth!

Center State has done a wonderful job of taking care of our needs, we recently purchased a propane fireplace and they did a great job with installation.

I have been doing business with Center State for 11 years now and have had excellent service for all of those years. I own my own tank and have taken advantage of the pre-buy every year in my propane buying group to take advantage of great pricing. I have not had any service experience with them as I have the ability to do my own, so I can't honestly comment on service. I also own my own underground tank which has advantages as well. Our buying group has never had to change propane providers as Center State has always offered us great pricing and when on those few occasions, we sought out competitive pricing they accommodated us with not just matching pricing but better pricing. Deliveries were always prompt when calling for refills.Rick B.Deerfield

Do not use them ! They cleaned installed a new oil nozzle that put too much oil into the firebox which caused our oil furnace to blow up. And ruin the old furnace !!! Then when installing a new gas furnace, They have people installing furnaces without proper training. They hooked up cold register to be warm registers and didn’t hook up another one you could see right down into the basement . Plus they sent a gas pipe trough our dryer duct so dryer was blowing lint under our house for over 2 years!!! They also put the wrong size exhaust, They Did a 2” at 90 degree angles should have been 3” at 45 degree angles so we had nothing but issue with the furnace. Also moved the igniter farther from the gas so every time it lite we herd a bang sound. Do Not use them !!! If anyone else has had issues within the last 6 years let me know!!!!

Bunch of lying crooks this company is!! They change the rules every year. They want you to keep a credit card on file so they can run it illegally like they tried to last time so now they refuse to come top off my tanks for the start of the season like they ALWAYS DO and then bill me!! Will be contacting the owner again as this is one of many issues I have had with this company! Now I know why everyone warned me about them!! They have so much turn over in the office that they all give you different info when you call for your balance!! I'll be contacting the BBB ONCE AGAIN!! This is a company who came and took my tanks from my home when I was sick during Covid in the middle of winter, while the tanks were almost full AND already payed for-all because the manager didn't like my tone on the phone!! Reached out to the owner who then had the manager send my tanks back out first thing next morning to hook them back up and then he begged me to give them another chance!!. And NOW THIS AGAIN!!! Should have switched when I had the chance!!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE GREEDY JERKS!!! They lie to the customer CONSTANTLY!! Then when you get upset with them for their own ineptitude they punish you by holding a fuel delivery for up front payment!! I also have proof that they have billed me plenty of times even though they said they haven't!!

I closed my account with Center State 6 weeks ago and they haven’t picked up the propane tank yet! I have been told several times that it would be picked but no one does. They said they’re charging me $150. to pick it up so I don’t understand why it is so difficult to come and get it. They were supposed to pick it up on Oct 16th but didn’t so I called and was told there was a propane leak somewhere they had to take care of. Do they only have 1 guy working with 1 truck? I’m not even sure the person answering the phone is even relaying the messages to the person whose supposed to pick it up! Thank God I switched companies! I can’t believe how inefficient this company is!

From the time I switched to Propane heat and hot water three years ago they have been great to deal with. The drivers are courteous and knowledgeable. Office staff is good to deal with too!
