the service work is Alright. But the guy(probably the manager) who runs it is not nice. He didn't give me any estimates before doing the service.I went there twice for just one simple headlight issue.First time, they fixed something else (not the headlight). But told me that the problem is fixed.Second time, charged me again to fix the same problem.both time no cost estimate before working on it. But Before returning the key "pay me money"I would never recommend this auto shop to my worst enemy.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been using Watertown Auto Repair since I came to Fort Drum in 2014 and I have always been happy with them until my last experience. I needed a left rear wheel bearing replaced so I dropped it off on Friday morning and picked it up Friday night. Upon leaving I heard a rubbing noise but I had to go to work Saturday morning so I had to take it. I called them and let them know that I was having an issue. On the following Monday I had a recall repair at Subaru so I asked them to look into this rubbing noise. They showed me that when the wheel bearing had been replaced the rear brake actuator cable had not been installed back in its bracket and had rubbed through and been cut all the way through. They also showed me that the connectors for the parking brake actuators had been broken on both sides and were zip tied to keep the connections together. I took the car back to Watertown Auto Repair and was told that they had absolutely nothing to do with any of the issues I mention to them. They told me that they don’t do anything with the brakes and that they don’t need to take them off to replace a wheel bearing which I know is false. They also said that the car came in with the brake actuator connections zip tied keeping them together which I also know is false because I had changed the brakes 6 months prior and know that they were not broken then and no one had touched the car since. I asked to speak with the owner and they refused saying that he is retired and has nothing to do with the business anymore. After a long period of going back and forth they finally offered to splice the wire back together but refused to do the right thing and replace it as it was their mistake. I would be very careful doing business with them as they are not as honest as they used to be.

We limped in with our Toyota with serious engine problems. It was a miracle it was running at all. These guys did an awesome job fixing it. As soon as they were done we took a trip to NYC and back, then drove it out to Phoenix. 3500 miles later, no issues, runs great!Great job, Watertown Auto Repair!

Was satisfied with the work done, but not happy with the fact that 2 of my rims were scratched while my truck was at their shop. The guy at the front desk isn’t the nicest, and tried to charge me $320 more then wanted to act surprised when I called him out on the extra fees. Argued with me back and forth for a minute then realized I’m not going to pay it and pointed out his mistake. The $1,000 worth of work I got done has now costed me $1,200 for 2 new rims. Just be careful with this shop and inspect your vehicle before you leave the parking lot.

Knowledgeable and capable, communicate well and call before doing work. I plan to use them for future work since my local mechanic is closing shop.

I should say, first, that I used to do my own auto repairs. Now, I do have the money to pay for someone else to do so for me. I have not forgotten, though, to memorize exactly what my car needs when I take it to a repair shop. Before I had my oil change done at Watertown Auto Repair, I asked the guy at the desk how much it would cost for a full synthetic oil change for my 2012 Toyota Yaris sedan. He asked me how much oil my car took. I told him 4 quarts. After the hundreds of oil changes that I have had done on my car over the last ten years, I knew exactly how much oil my car takes. He told me $52 before taxes. After my oil change was done and he gave me the bill, it said $58.95 before taxes. I asked him why it cost more than the original estimate. He pointed to the bill and told me that it took 4.5 quarts.Obviously, I knew that this was not true. I looked in my manual but it did not have the amount of oil needed. It was not a repair manual. So, I went online. Over and over reputable websites stated that my car takes 3.9 quarts or, as I said, 4 quarts. Finally, I found the coup de grâce, the actual manual at Toyota with the oil specifications. Funny, Toyota seems to think that my car only takes 3.9 quarts of oil. Since they manufactured the car, I would think that they know how much oil it takes. Watertown Auto Repair must know something that the manufacturer doesn't or he lied and cheated me. Of course he did.Check out my images. I even provided the URLs.It might seem like a small thing, just a few dollars, but if I can't trust Watertown Auto Repair with a small job, I can't trust them with a large job either. Next time, I could be overcharged $1,000. That will never happen because I will never go back there again. Of course, I already told him that at the time. They lost my business and they should lose yours too.P.S. Service centers/repair shops, I'm the wrong person to cheat.Service: Oil change

Charged $27 to deflate tires to the right pressure. Customer service is nonexistent. When asked what went into deflating the tires why it would cost that price he got very arrogant and demeaning. Terrible experience.Service: Tires
