1165 Arsenal St, Watertown“Hannaford in Watertown is a wonderful place to shop. The store is always extremely clean, spacious, excellent lighting, organized, with many selections and varieties of brands for the same item. Most importantly to me, the individual staff are extremely kind, generous, helpful, and will answer questions in a kind, respectful and helpful manner. They even customize and assist with a specific product (I e., think of special cuts to specifications ordering filet mignon -exact thickness). The 2 gentlemen I spoke with one day were a pleasure to deal with. I also spoke to one of the managers, who was stocking apples, she offered a Crisp apple to try, and I purchased one for my better half, they were OUTSTANDING!!! So was the kind service. I continued shopping and went to the meat and seafood section (where I had the nice experience noted above). Continued on to dairy and bakery, looking for a specific item, which apparently they no longer carry. The young lady assistant was kind and apologetic, as they no longer would be getting the requested product my wife enjoys. She provided an alternate product, cinnamon pastry of some kind, as a kindness to test, and apparently my wife enjoyed them, as 2 days later they were both consumed! The employees have often assisted to unload the groceries into our SUV (I have difficulty as I am physically disabled due to underlying medical conditions). Handicap carts are available, but with an assistive device I walk at times in the store. I especially like the "pink lady" apples and now the Crisp apples. The organic food section is impressive. The higher end Hannaford brand is called "nature's promise" which is excellent. Overall A+ shopping experience!”
“We were staying at a hotel down the road and went to Price Chopper to get a snack. Wound up ordering fish fries that were made fresh to order and included fries and coleslaw for only $7.99. We took it back to the hotel and ate it. It was very hot and delicious. The young man who prepared them was very pleasant.”
“Mike Schatz, I am sorry you feel that way about our store. However I would like to invite you to introduce yourself to me, I am the Assistant Store Manager and the person you have in the photo is not me. I would like the opportunity to change your mind about us, if you give us a chance to meet you. I myself try to acknowledge everyone that passes by me, so I am sorry that we have made you feel that you are beneath us, because that is the last thing we would want anyone to feel.”
“I love Aldi’s, however, I did a pickup order for my groceries today so I didn’t have to bring in my little one who’s not feeling well. The produce was not up to par and spoiled. I wish they’d take care shopping for pickup orders as if it was their own groceries. The pic is an example of the spoiled cabbage I received. I kept peeling bad leaves away and it was nearly half the head wasted.”
