I went in after I had purchased a used bicycle off marketplace, and had some issues with the bike. The man working not only fixed the issue I asked about, but also went through the entire working of the bike and all the little ways it was having issues and how to do long term maintenance. I never asked, he was just kind enough to know that I needed the help. I can’t recommend the shop enough for anyone who is a novice to bicycles and wants to learn.

Stopped in to have a tire changed and the owner went out of his way to take care of the tire and a gear problem. Friendly and down to earth. Great experience.

If you want a bicycle shop that lacks communication and integrity this is the place for you.3/11/22 PREPAID $150 for bicycle cleaning and maintenance3/19/22 I dropped off my bicycle to Todd of Black River Adventure Shop. (An initial look over was done and it was determined not much would have to be done because the bicycle was two years old)4/13/22 I called to see the status of my bicycle but was unable to leave a voice message because the mail box was full4/15/22 I called Todd that stated the bicycle was in the queue of someone that was out sick and that he would move it to someone who was available. He stated that the bicycle should “be ready not this weekend(4/22-24) but next weekend(4/29-5/1).”5/10/22 I called Black River Adventure Shop with no answer. 15 minutes later I stopped by and Todd was eating at the desk. He gave me an excuse that my bicycle was in the queue of an employee that got fired and that he personally would put my bicycle in his stand today. He stated that it should be ready in two days. Also while I was there the phone rang, he noticed the number, ignored it, and then proceeded to tell me why that customer was calling.5/18/22 I returned and asked about the status of my bicycle. After about a minute of the owner looking at the computer surprised I just cut to the chase and told him that I saw my bicycle in the same spot it was put two months prior and not completed. This was now the third time. He started to make an excuse in which I cut him off and just told him I wanted my bicycle and money back in which he did.

Todd is a great owner and he is always helping out. He taught our 4-H club about bike maintenance. The shop is limited due to covid supply breaks but they are always willing to help you plan, update and fix for your next big adventure.❤️

Brought bike in for tune up and other adjustments. My bike was at the shop for two months and was only worked on when I would check in on progress. Left phone number several times but was never updated on anything. The shop was so cluttered and full of bikes that you can barely enter the shop.

Went into the shop after my wife’s bike had a mechanical malfunction while we were out on the black river trail. Luckily she didn’t get injured, but I’m not really competent in repairing a bicycle. So I searched google for a place that would be close to do the repair and came across this shop. Todd was super helpful and showed my how to get everything working and even gave me the replacement parts to assist with the repair. Hands down the best customer service I could have ever dreamed about. Thanks again Todd if you are reading this, I appreciate the help!

My bike malfunctioned on Black River trail and my husband took it here. They on the spot diagnosed and fixed the issue! Highly recommend them!

I called ahead, stated I was coming in and what I would need. Arrived, was dismissively ignored while owner carried on social conversation with some guy. 20 uncomfortable minutes passed, as there is nowhere to sit down in that musty used-bike junk room. I left and went to other bike shop, was treated graciously and professionally. This guy only apparently only wants business from certain people, & I failed the interview! Wasted my time but at least learned my lesson where to avoid going.

The gentleman was super helpful, offered to take a look at my spin bike after I screwed up the pedal assembly and had my bike back in commission in no time. Definition of customer service!!!! Will definitely be back in the future!!! Thank you so much!!!

Was accused of bike being stolen, the man is very condescending and made excuses as to why it took the entire summer(almost 3 months) to get my bike back. I wouldn't recommend this place and its unfortunate that their is no other options to take a bike for a tune up.
