I Brought all 4 of my vehicles here to Robbie for 30+ years. However Robbie doesn’t own it anymore and the place is nothing like the great reviews this place used to get! I had a new clutch installed in my vehicle $1625.00 a few months ago. It didn’t feel right, I complained and I was told it would be fine. I returned a couple of months later as I was stranded in a parking lot in Geneva unable to shift my vehicle as the fluid in the clutch leaked out. I was able to slowly get it to the garage and another repair was done to replace the slave cylinder which is a part of the clutch $2000 worth of repairs and a month later I brought it in a for a NYS inspection. I reported to them at this time that it sounded funny ,louder than usual, and it needed to be checked out. I specifically spoke to the owner who is clueless about cars and told him I wanted it checked out thoroughly as it was not the same with the clutch they installed. I was informed that a heat shield was removed and that was the noise I was hearing. The vehicle was fine and passed the inspection. Less than a week later my clutch exploded through my floorboard while I was driving it, projecting metal parts all over the driver’s floor. It ripped out my gas petal assembly and sent me to the ER with cuts everywhere. I tried to talk to the mechanic later to see what could be done. He denied any responsibility and refused to give me any owner information so I could contact him about any warranty or insurance on the parts installed or work done. The owner only visits the shop sporadically that I have seen. Other garages that gave me estimates on the damage caused to my vehicle stated it was a good possibility that the clutch was not bolted tightly when it was installed leading it to explode as it did. This incident caused over 16,000 dollars damage to my vehicle not covered by car insurance as it was a mechanical failure. If the owner would like to discuss this issue with me feel free to call me. I have left messages and heard nothing as yet. Until it is resolved everyone should be aware of the work done on my vehicle could have easily killed me or others! I will update this if the issue gets resolved.
Update The owner finally contacted me after a month of voice messages and emails left. He informed me that he spoke to his head tech and was told that they did nothing wrong and it must be a manufacturer problem. Ha ha never an issue until you guys installed a new clutch! The head tech couldn’t possibly know what caused the problem when he never saw the vehicle after it exploded. He isn’t qualified to assess anything. Two other garages had a different opinion. The owner like the mechanic is incapable of taking responsibility for their mistakes. I have a voice mail from the mechanic screaming about a recall for jeeps having issues with their clutches and that being the problem. I just wanted to make it clear that the recall was for 2018-2023 models. Mine is a 2016 and had no recall. Nice try though.Be advised that the review rating is based primarily on the previous owner who was excellent. This group is not. I’m sure the guy who responds to these will again make more excuses and duck responsibility as he always does. The public has been warned by several people. I could have been killed or killed someone else. Did the owner inquire about my injuries? Nope. That’s all you need to know about this place. The one star reviews are mounting. Coincidence?
I filed a complaint and a NYS motor vehicle inspector completed a thorough investigation on this incident. His conclusion was that this shop was responsible for the damage done to my vehicles as the clutch pressure plate was not tightened properly leading to the explosion that occurred. My jeep was properly repaired at another facility. It took 8 months and cost
Me a little over $25,000.00. My insurance covered half.

Worst place ever! They have no idea what they are doing ! Owner is a douche bag! You have been warned. Go someplace else. Rob was never like this!Get your facts straight before you respond! Diagnostic was done and we were given a quote the previous day for the repair! You are rude and need some manners with how you treat females! Loser!

Can't thank these guys enough. I had a problem with my car, they got me in quickly, took care of the problem and only the problem, which is exactly what I wanted, and the cost was extremely reasonable. Rob wouldn't sell his place to anyone but the best. And he did. Thanks again Dan & crew for your excellent service!!!!
