I have been practicing yoga for 9 years. I went to Five Pillars yoga for the first time this past Sunday at 9:45 while I was staying at a friends house in the Hamptons. Unfortunately, due to kids and traffic, we (3 of us went) were late which I am usually 30 min early for class. So I was nervous they would not let us in and so very grateful they did. They were in the middle of the warm-up which is fairly basic. In the studio, I normally go to they encourage advance options even in the beginning so I was jumping back instead of stepping back. This was just normal for me. At first, the teacher hovered over me, then he knelt down and stated with a very big degrading attitude "If you would like to do your own warm up you can do it out there where it's totally free". I was so taken aback and embarrassed totally ruined the overpriced $33 class for me. By no means was I trying to be disrespectful and he could have handled this totally differently. It's sad that this instructor had such an entitled Hamptons attitude.

Lovely, relaxed studio with a cool, beachy vibe. Teachers are outstanding. Total gem.
