Total rip off - brought in my BMW -- they refused to give me a receipt and it is cash only! Told me $ 1000 which was already insane -- i came back and they "fixed" other stuff without speaking to me first and owner told me that i owed $3000. My car started having new issues right after they "fixed" it and they refused to take responsibility- super rude. Im fining a lawsuit.

Ryan is a nice guy. He is dedicated to his profession and appears to be a fan (of car history, heritage and getting things correct)as well.Car Doctor is by no means cheap and a bit pricey. But in my 56 years of being vertical, one generally gets what they pay for.Shop is beautiful and clean with an auto-based hospital setting with stethoscopes, IV bags and go-cart type buggies custom ambulances beautifully painted and positioned in background. There is even a show bar with ornamental bottles of liquor so one appreciates or could hypothetically relax with a drink since it is an Emergency Room so to speak but for your 2nd best friend ( I'm thinking doggie first ).One could always get a price first so know what you are in for.But all in all, Car Doctor is very detail orientated so maybe you don't need to bring a work car there but for secondary and tertiary vehicles it's a go to spot.......All German imports and English - (big on Coopers and Porsches as well their 4×4 counterparts), Ferrari's too

This guy does NOT pay his landscapers. He promised $1500 to my guy and only paid him $1,000 and made him drive there 3 times to get it...A bad guy!!!

They're named Car Doctor for a reason. There is nobody better and smarter for the creation of fantastic machines.

I dropped off my Mini Cooper for a clutch replacement and Ryan's price was about equal or slightly higher than most other shops. Why I chose him was his knowledge of the car. He told me the work involved which was very intense. He gave me options for upgrading the parts and I chose the more expensive racing parts. He had the vender specially build parts to give maximum performance but still maintain minimal peddle effort. I was away on a motorcycle trip while he was working on my car. He sent photos and did find many more problems with the car and with my permission, repaired all of them to factory specs or better. I plan on bringing my car back to him hopefully this winter to do additional work to it. I want race the car and he is a wealth of knowledge and maybe a little more expensive then other shops but every thing he did to my car has had a year of driving on it. I waited a long time to give him a review. He did some major modifications to the brakes and engine and exhaust, etc.. He used parts no one else heard of and after researching them, I found out that they were all very top end products. One person commented that it was apparent that the school wasn't his main source of income. It's not really my business but he actually told me that it wasn't and he did this for the passion and love of cars. I saw that every time I went to his shop. Thumbs up to them. Their crew was super friendly and if your a car buff, they'll show you stuff that will amaze you. They cleaned every part they worked on. Engine, transmission etc. Ryan treated my 6,500.00 Mini like it was a 100,000.00 Mercedes or fine exotic car. I'm not sure why Yelp had my address in South Daytona? I live in Sag Harbor.

I went, in good faith, to have my convertible top adjusted, an exhaust vibration and a check my well maintained Triumph that I told them that I literally just had tuned and all the fluids changed to synthetic. They virtually used no new parts other than fluids and they had forgot that I told them the fluids were new. I now know why they said only cash or certified check

The reviews are true. Ryan is an a******* and I don't believe him to honest. I wish I had read the reviews; I could have towed my car to somewhere else on Long Island and saved myself time, money, and headache.

I haven't used this POS garage for years because the bad reviews here matched my experience. Do not be swayed by the good reviews; they are either fake or from people happy to pay whatever good manners and decent service cost here, and it must be a lot! There are several other excellent repair shops out here. Choose any of them over this place.

I was completely ripped off by these guys. Owners made up false things that were wrong with my car and attempted to charge me for work that wasn't needed. They charged me more than 3X the market rate for the worked they did.

You are in for a world of hurt if you leave your car with them. Nothing but predators. Ask the locals!

I have had two cars built here and both times the work done has been fantastic. A little on the high side in price but it is great work.

These guys ripped my mom (a single mom) off. She told them her budget and said to call if anything would go over. They charged her 2x as much and she could barely afford it. Then, after picking up the car, she drove to the airport and the car was shaking and off balance. It turns out that they messed with the placement of the engine. NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE.
