This company used to be very good. Now, you can't get them to answer a telephone. No voice mail... just ring, ring, ring and 8:30-4 hours are not accurate. Not sure they are even in business anymore?

I am a local who has been working on cars for a while now. I had an extra cat sitting around from a vehicle I had. I took it to them and without weighing it or even really looking at it offered me $70. This was WAY below what was expected. I then took it to Baroni Scrap Metal located in Poughkeepsie. They offered me $150 and after negotiating walked away with $170 and got rid of an old rim. Would not recommend coming.

The ladies running the office were very helpful, paid what they promised (10 cents a pound) and took what they could ... I'd do business with them again in a heartbeat.

So we were doing a construction job in the area and we are not locals...the home owners we are working with need a little help paying for job so we agreed to part of pay coming from scrappping a van ...which way more work for usAnyway we decided to use a local scrap yard to turn in catalytic converters to split the rest of our pay up.....anyway I'm not sure how anyone could justify ripping theur customers off but off like this....which it did not happen to us anywaybut I figured I'd let others know incase someone isn't knowledgeable and their planning to go here .... we were offered only 60 for one of our catalytic converters and it made no sense they kept saying it was definitely after market ...but then they were speaking Spanish back and forth and we don't speak the languageit felt just wrong and uncomfortable so we left without doing business because normally that would make the cat.. 20 maybe less but not 60 so we knew something wasn't right.....Then I called my regular salvage guy sent him photos and was told that same 60 catalytic converter ..... we got offered 630 and he's normally 50 to a 100... less than turning in at a junkyard in Albany NY WHICH to us reasonable he should have room to make his cut on itso yeah its rude to just completely screw someone over like that I get the business making money on there end but it just wrong

Very good scrap yard. Very pleasant first time bringing scrap and good prices. I recommend for new people to pull up on the scale with the stop sign and to wait. Someone will come to you to guide you.

This is truly the best most honest yard around, most yards will try and short you, they wont the people that own/work here are super kind and very personable and helpful, I hate seeing people leave them bad reviews because they dont understand how the scales work. I 10/10 recommend this scrap yard, it's the only one I'll go to. It's the best and most trustworthy one around

This scrap yard is great. It's the only one I trust to actually give me the right amount of money they owe me, and the people that work there are all really nice, they seem to be good honest hard working folks too

Me and my father can here to get rid of some scraps after a long day of work and when we were finally done emptying out our scraps, it was time for us to use the scale. We saw that there was a car using it and they told us that we would have to wait a couple minutes in order for us to use it and after 45 minutes the car finally moved, so long story short me and my father had to wait almost an hour just to use a scale in this place.

Super easy, just make sure you park and explain the types of items you are looking to drop off so they can talk you through the process. If you have appliances, and copper wire, and raw steel you will make a few passes through the scale as you drop stuff off so they can calculate prices per material.
