They say first impressions are everything. South Shore Animal Hospital has gained my trust. I am a new dog owner with a currently 6 month old Black Lab Mix named Luke. I had been looking to get established with a Vet and had been doing some research. But when Luke had some issues that needed attention I started frantically calling places to be met with a lot of rudeness and no availability. I found South Shore and booked an appointment online for the soonest available which was 3 days later. I called up and explained the situation and they were happy to squeeze me in the same day on a Saturday. Now I can’t say if I got lucky or if they did me a favor but I appreciated them getting in a new customer same day on a Saturday. The Staff were kind and were patient with Luke as he is still a puppy and made him feel comfortable at his first visit. Their pricing seems reasonable although I did not need anything major but the exam fee seemed okay. They answered all my questions as a new dog owner would have. I’m glad I found them and will consider bringing in our cat Pumpkin in as well as needed. Thank you South Shore Animal Hospital. We will see you again

Dr.Mansfield is great with my dogs. Very honest and never tries to make me do any unnecessary procedures or injections. Highly recommend him for all your pet care needs. The front desk staff are very polite as well. Beautiful new facility.

Our precious cat Paris had skin problem for a long while. We finally went to see doctor Jason Mensfield. Paris is a private distant (especially after she got skin lesion) but loveable cat. We were worried that she was going to fight and scratch everybody. But Dr. Mensfield took his time, approached her gently. That calmed her down first. Dr wasn’t rushing he took his time checked everything. He diagnosed immediately. He listened to us carefully and he explained everything to us in detail. He gave her medication and he said she will recover within two weeks. Also he checked her eyes carefully.
Now Paris is so happy and very healthy, she is 8 and she is playing again and we are so happy. I want to THANK to him from here. THANK YOU Dr Mensfield. You are our favorite doctor from now on ?? and thanks for kindly receptionists too ??

I have tried quite a few vets over the course of time but none compares with the vets at South Shore. They are knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Mansfield was amazing!!! He answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. He had some suggestions for some minor behavior issues which worked like a charm. I am so glad I chose South Shore Animal Hospital. The staff are also very friendly and helpful!!
