“Incredible, the kind and polite treatment I received at this USPS office, the 2 ladies who helped us, my respects to them.
The Jackson and Forrest Hill Ofcs should learn how to treat a client”
“After having a bad experience trying to get passports done at another usps. We came here to hoping to get it done. Gary helped us with a smile very pleasant and knows what he's doing. Had all our things in order very quickly.”
“Outstanding! The passport process here is excellent and completely different from other locations. If you want to receive your passport with exceptional service (which should be the standard at all USPS locations), I would recommend it 100%.”
“Larry was so kind in helping me try to track a package that went missing. He even took down my tracking number and called me back the next day to ensure we find it. Thank you!”
“I’m a regular here and can I just say, I appreciate the staff that works here so so much!!! Thank you Mary who always goes above and beyond with her Stella customer service! I am always greeted with her smile! :) Thank you Sean and Ozzy for always being so helpful with all my packages and PO Box. I appreciate you all! :)”
“Always efficient service. Some people that work here are very sweet, others are less engaging. Sometimes there's only 1 person checking packages in. Hopefully they give their employees hours.”
“Line moves fast. Isabella, the lady with the unkept hair, and sunken eye bags is rude and dry. Whereas, the woman with long grey hair is quick, kind and straight to the point. I didn’t catch her name it starts with a M, but give her a raise!”
“Could not access hold mail on the computer. I was heading back from Fl and called the Post office and the lady who answered the phone was very helpful in handling my request. She went out of her way to help me.”
“I don’t understand why some people made bad comments. I’m glad USPS is still around to compete the private companies like UPS and FedEx. Some people are stupid to even say such complaints. I use USPS service often. They are always helpful and considerate. Listen customers , sometimes you are the problem. Some people have high expectations, they want high class mail service and a happy ending too for the price of a pack of peanuts.”
“I always find the service at this location excellent. The people working here are friendly, informative, and work quickly to keep the line moving. Even when I arrive to a long line, I never have to wait very long, and the representatives working the counter are always professional and courteous, even when very busy.”
“I've never had an issue here. Mostly just drop off packages. I appreciate that the dropbox is always working, there are a lot of usps places that have it fill up and get locked, then you have to go on line. I did go on line once or twice for mailing things and the employees were always helpful and courteous.”
“Super friendly staff, the place was a little busy but that's to be expected this time of year. The lady behind the counter made sure to help me make the right choice in shipping my package, giving me multiple options. The location itself could probably use an update, but given it's a government agency that probably won't happen for another 10 years.”
“I honestly don't understand why the reviews are so negative from other people. Coming from Brooklyn, this post office is a blessing in comparison to what I've dealt with in the past. There is usually never any rush so I'm in and out and there is also a parking lot as well. I've only dealt with two staff members who seem to be there regularly and they are both extremely helpful and kind. I've been mailing out everything from here the past few months and don't plan to stop in the foreseeable future. Keep up the great work!”
“Just wanted to acknowledge the courteous servi e I always receive when ever I use the Wheatley Heights Post Office. Postal worker Sam is very helpful and always greets you with a smile. Please recognize him for his extraordinary service . He deserves kudos for making a trip to the Post Office a pleasurable experience..”
“Who goes to post office anymore but sometimes you have to I’ve been here to drop aparcels for Amazon and mainly we’ve been here for the kids passports. The staff here was very friendly with us when they did the passport application. pictures always take time so you have to go through the pain of taking the pictures again and again and again, but They were very patient with us. My children are blind some of them and it is hard to position them for the passport pictures but these people were very cooperative and I’m very thankful to them.”
“Tania helped me with the passport application for my 5 months old. She was really kind and friendly. Gave me the right information and helped me right away with the application.”
“Agent at the window was extremely helpful. She answered all my questions about mailing packages in a clear and patient manner. She was also offered me the best option for the best price. I usually dread going to the post office, but West Hempstead is where I’ll be shipping from in the future.”
“This is the best usps location I have ever visited.
Staff here is so nice and helpful. They greet every guest. Brian was really helpful. I am so glad that I came to this location.”

2260 Grand Ave, Baldwin“Post offices generally give me anxiety and I try my best to steer clear of them due to awful past experiences. This time I had no choice as I needed to get my passport renewed and I had to ship out a return. Fortunately for me the staff here (Darvin clerk #38, and Yinney (pronounced Jenny) were actually the friendliest and most helpful post office clerks I have ever met in my life. Darvin even made some jokes that made me laugh and eased my anxiety. What’s more impressive about their amazing customer service is that there were only 2 people doing everything. It was obvious they were understaffed but that didn’t stop them from being nice to literally everyone. I see the post office has improved and I’m glad they hired these two really great people!”
“I think you'd probably have a good experience at any post office outside of Brooklyn. That being said this was my second or third time at a post office in LI. I had a great experience at this (Carle Place) post office yesterday. The postal worker was very polite and patient as she handled all the mail I had to send out. The office is very clean and inviting (again, if you've been at post offices in Brooklyn you definitely can make the comparison). I came in the early afternoon on a weekday and found a lot of street parking.”
“I don’t live in this city, but I called this post office for assistance with a package I’m sending to this city. I didn’t catch the name of the guy who answered the phone, but he was incredibly helpful despite being quite busy. I appreciate that he took the time to help me out with concerns regarding the package while he was busy.”
“I love this post office! All my experiences here have been pleasant. I will go out of my way to use this post office because of this reason. Thank you for that pleasantness I appreciate it.”
