Hired Pat's to load a piece of equipment into a semi trailer at a business that doesn't have a loading dock. They were patient and helpful in coordinating a time to meet the truck and load it into the trailer safely. Thanks again!

An essay wouldn't explain the battle that this company put up to retrieve an impounded car. Like many other reviewers, 0 stars would be preferred over giving them a single one. My wife's car was impounded on Jan 9th, towed from a municipal lot in Walden due to snow removal. We went there almost immediately on the first day after realizing the car was missing, because signs were posted after the car had been parked for the day, and there was another disagreement with the village how that was handled. Pat's wanted $250 for the first day. To cut a long story short, we had a meeting with the Chief of Police who gave us a breakdown of all the fees Pat's is allowed to charge when towing for the Police Dept, and the Chief said that the first day cost should have been roughly half of what I was told. We were also shut out of Pat's on the first day and my wife was told she couldn't get her things, including medicine, out of her car.On the second day, which was the day we met with the Police Chief, we showed up after our meeting, which was unfortunate because the recovery department closes at 4. But the Google hours, the website, nor the FRONT DOOR even mention these things. Many reviewers have made mention that it feels like Pat's is trying to string you along - and it only gets worse from here. we knocked on the locked door a few times and a woman eventually peeked her head out, ran in between my wife, myself and my parents, yelling "Call the main office" and ran directly to her truck. We shouted back and she didn't even turn her head and look. We spoke with the Chief after this and he supplied us with some other numbers to get in touch with, because the Main Office's number isn't accessible on the front door. I was hung up on by the woman from the main office after I told her that a Sergeant from the PD had called to inform them they must allow my wife to get her medicine, she said the sergeant never called and then hung up before I could respond. Eventually we reached a man who works for Pat's, but primarily for another company who let me into the lot to get my wife's belongings and medicine. He locked in a price for me to come back the following morning but could only take cash and not produce a receipt for me. I also showed him the breakdown of fees that I was given by the Chief and got a much more fair price, though a winching fee was placed onto it for no reason. 283 is what the man quoted, though I shouldn't have paid more than 233.On the third day, we returned at 9am, again not knowing the hours that this place is even open. The woman from last night ended up parking while we were standing outside of the car, when we got cold and got in the car, we saw her run inside almost as if she were dodging us. At the time we also called the main office who tried to up our price to almost 400 dollars, we fought back with the fees given to us by the Chief and the conversation with the man we had the night prior. We ended up getting it down to 318.97. At 10am we were allowed in, it was myself, my wife and my stepmother, they pushed to only have one person up but eventually caved and let two. My stepmother went up with my wife and handled it from there. While they were up there, they were told they were an inconvenience to Pat's, that even though the company operates on a cash only basis that they couldn't produce change for $320 (on a $318.97 bill) for another 2 hours and "to go down to a store and break a bill." The car seemingly has nothing missing and is in the same condition as when it was towed. As long as Pat's is operating in our area this will continue to happen. If you get towed by order of a local authority, please check with them what the fees they are allowed to charge for that kind of tow are. Work with your local police and get a fair price on day one, or they will attempt to gouge you constantly.

Understand when you’re in the wrong and you get ur car towed but why do this lady that answers the phone after hours have to be rude to everyone she speaks to. If you don’t like ur job then don’t do it. And why is it that they can tow a car on weekend but not release it to you on weekends. I will not recommend ya at all hanging up on people that you have there vehicle isnt the way to do business.

If I could give them no star, I would. We were told that our vehicle was towed to the Newburgh lot. We called on Sunday 12/4 and they told us the vehicle was not there. On Monday, we went to the Walden lot. No one was even there, so we called the number and left a message, but no one called back. On Tuesday, we went to the Middletown lot. The very nice gentleman there told us the car was in Newburgh. We called Newburgh again, they said the car was there but we would have to bring the owner with ID to get the vehicle out of impound. We drove 40 miles to pick her up and they never even asked for her ID! They charged us just under $800 CASH. I told them that we called on Sunday and were told the car was not there. They said we did not call, but I have proof that we did. When we got home a few hours later, the car still was not delivered. I called Newburgh and spoke with the manager. I asked for the owner's name and phone number, but she would not give it to me. She hung up on me. I called several more times to get the owner's name but she refused to tell me, kept me on hold for almost an hour and hung up on me again. I had to go down with the police before they would put the car on the truck to deliver it, which was only 6 miles away. They mocked me the whole time I was there, they are a rude, nasty staff.Service: Car towing

The staff were friendly as they could be in this field of work. The guy who was there to help me get my car actually went back and drove it out for me. I was wrongfully towed by my apartment complex and ended up paying $502 to get my car back but I understand the fees.Great service.
