After spending the first 15 months at home with baby, the process of finding a great daycare that would met my needs and wants was not an easy task. From the minute we came for a tour, baby was very responsive, walking up to the administrative staff. It was clear my child was very pleased and enjoyed the environment.Having access to the app to see all the pictures that are posted and any questions I may have during the day is also an added benefit. Since starting at the wooden shoe, there is so much noticeable social development that we have witnessed, especially learning. Singing the alphabet , counting and just more socially excited and engaged with people are some of the few benefits of this daycare. Most importantly, from the minute I drop off my child I am not anxious, worried or concerned, because I know they are being properly cared for and loved on. All the teachers know my childs name and are soo kind. Kids want to feel important and have a desire for belonging. I can see by the way my child is excited about daycare from the minute we park the car out front, that they feel the love from everyone there. Every meal, diaper change and naps are tracked in the app, thats some great attention to detail. Even when you are away you can still keep track of what your child is doing in the day, its nice.Some other things I like that are not related to childcare, i really like how responsive the administrative staff is. I can send an email in the morning and get extremely fast responses. As a healthcare professional, I take professionalism extremely seriously, so this is a huge plus. I really like how they present themselves when it comes down to my questions and providing answers. Also, we communicate with the teacher what we are teaching our child at home, and the teacher reinforces that in school and vice versa. Its great all around.Daycare is an investment in your child's future. And this is an investment that we are extremely happy to make. This place is an answered prayer, very grateful to God for everyone at the Wooden Shoe :)

Both my children and two of my nephews had gone to this school. I nothing bad to say.I personally knew people who had worked here and knew how safe i felt having my children there. They all had an advance start before entering kindergarten. Highly recommended!

My daughter and son both attended Wooden Shoe and we love it! The personalized attention we receive from the staff and teachers is amazing. They literally treat us like family and even though my son is now in elementary school, they still ask how he is doing. Also, the class to teacher ratio has been great with no more than 3 students per teacher. And when I had my youngest daughter, they sent me flowers and arts &crafts from my oldest daughter’s class! Lastly, they include academics, arts & crafts, and books into the daily curriculum… which we all (my husband, kids and I) love!!

They’re absolutely great here. Very personable and know all the kids by name. My daughter enjoyed every single day. And I loved seeing all the arts & crafts and activities they did.

I had the pleasure of sending my son to the Wooden Shoe and I must say that I was very impressed with the level of care and education that my son was receiving. I would highly recommend the Wooden Shoe to any parent looking for a caring, and nurturing environment.

The Wooden Shoe Nursery School has exceeded my expectations. My boy/girl twins have been attending since last year and I have no complaints. The teachers are friendly and my kids absolutely love going to school. If you’re looking for a great nursery school in Valley Stream, Wooden Shoe is the best option!!

This review is solely based off of my tour with Miss Theresa. She was incredibly kind and welcoming . During my tour , I could tell that her and the teachers really care for the kids. Everyone was so nice and personable. I recommended this school to a friend and she will be going on a tour this week! Unfortunately I will be sending my daughter to a different school based on her personal needs .I am currently pregnant and look forward to sending baby #2 to the wooden shoe!

Very wonderful place my grandson love it there. Teachers are wonderful. My grandson loves Ms Joy even though she’s not his teacher no more. But he mention her everyday at home.

This school has taken care of my daughter since the age of 2. It is the best,amazing, wonderful second home to send your child to!!! It is secure,safe, attentive, nurturing and feels like an extwnsion to my little family. Thank you for treating her like your own and gor malinge feel at ease when i wemt to work. I knew she would be safe in your hands!!! Amazimg teachers. She has really come a long way!!! I re ommend this school to anyone who wants a peace of mind, good teaching and a great environment for there little ones!! Thank you!!! Honestly, the WS does not need any reviews. It has made a name for itself!!! My children went there at least 11 years ago for my youngest and 13 for my oldest. Now my nieces attend there.The staff is so loving and caring. From the moment I walked in I felt that this was the place for my children. They were also well taken care of LOVED!!! THE WOODEN SHOE is a second family to all the children who are fortunate enough to attend there. My son opened the infant room because at the time there were no accommodations for newborns. They opened it just for him so that his older brother could stay and I wouldn't have to pull the children out.They learned so much! because besides just being a great loving and nurturing place, the WS makes sure that academics are also an integral part of each child. The children are well prepared when they leave nursery school to attend elementary school.To this day, I love visiting the school and all their wonderful staff members!! We have built a great relationship!!! A great experience for my children!!!
