Technician great. Telephone, appointment set up, contact, cancellations, organization HORRIBLE. Will cancel or definitely not renew my protection plan. I haven't had a microwave for weeks because repair place thought I didn't have parts when I've had them for weeks. Technician still said today it was showing I didn't have parts but he took a chance. Worst party can't speak to anybody in repair place about it. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I've had seats protection agreements for years and never had this trouble. Forgot to mention on 3 phone calls I asked for a manager or supervisor to call me and I DID NOT receive any call back.

On 5/30/24, a technician from sears home appliance repair came to my house to diagnose my wall air conditioner which was not blowing cold air. He did not open any panels on the air conditioner nor did he move it to look behind it to properly diagnose it. He only pressed some buttons on the front (same as we did) and informed my husband that the air conditioner was not working and that when these air conditioners break, we just have to buy a new one. We ordered a new one and were taking the air conditioner out of the wall when we discovered a bird’s nest was blocking the fan from spinning. Once we removed the nest, the air conditioner worked perfectly fine. I called sears for a refund since the tech basically did nothing and just took us for $129. One week later, sears informed me that they rejected my request for a refund. Do not use this company. Not only do they send technicians who do not want to be bothered to do their job and have no work ethic, but Sears takes no responsibility when the truth is discovered. Now I have to return a new, heavy air conditioner that I never needed. Do not use this company. They are the worst of the worst!

Your coverage is a scam. Your installer told me via text that my washing machine wasn’t covered after I set up appointment and provided my model number and serial number. A giant waste of my time and money for coverage that doesn’t exist

You're given an appointment time between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The repairman shows up at 4:40 pm, spend less than 30 minutes there and you're charged $100+ for a consultation. You only pay for the consultation because the repair would cost $500+. You're better off trying to fix it yourself or buying a new appliance. And not from Sears.
