OMG, words cant explain how MELVYN WAS KIND, PATIENT, PROFESSIONAL. Hes the best... IM telling you guys go there the sunrise highway lacation ask for "MELVYN BENISON". Ive never felt so comfortable filling tax.. He made it so easy. Thx alot you're definitely "THE MASTER".

I decided to return to H and R Block for tax help for my business and what a huge mistake on my part. This Valley Stream location was the absolute worse in structure, organization and customer service. After waiting for over an hour, I was told by a rude tax preparer that, "I'm not doing any business taxes this evening." The office did not close until 9 p.m. I arrived at 5:45 p.m. No one had the decency to inform me that they were selective in the types of taxes they would prepare. I kindly told the female at the first cubicle on the left side that it was a simple return on a start up business and she suggested that I go to another H and R Block in Hicksville. I was ok with the recommendation and even making an appointment until, she was unable to read the schedule and confirm if someone at that location would be available. By now, it is after 8 p.m. and I had no other choice than to leave. I advised I would go to Jackson Hewitt for assistance. No one seemed to mind or care. I thought, "this is why I discontinued the relationship with this company over 15 years ago." H and R Block @ Valley Stream should be reminded of what happens to companies that take customers for granted...They will be swallowed up by their fierce competitors. Dr. Anderson

My tax professional, William, was very knowledgeable and professional. It was just a lot more expensive than I thought it would be. For the amount of information he had to put into his computer, I was a little surprised it ended up costing me over $300. For the price I had to pay alone I'd give it 3 stars. The fact that I felt confident in my tax professional's abilities makes me give a 4/5. William knew what he was doing more than I would have and I'd probably mess up and get audited. The security in having a professional do the work is worth the price in the end. Also the fact that if I have to amend my tax forms H&R Block does it for free is really nice.
