If I could give zero I would. No one seems to want to work at this location. I have waited for over 25 mins for help to unlock the cage for a tool. If you need to go to home depo just don't. Go to lowes.

Extremely disappointed in the customer service here today. Had a horrible experience this morning purchasing a Christmas tree at this location. There was no one in the gardening area to help me prep the tree so I could drive it home (cut the bottom, wrap it in netting, etc.), and every employee that I stopped and asked for help said "I don't do that," and walked away. I finally went over to customer service and asked to speak with a manager. I just knew the manager was going to get things done.....wrong. She paged, and paged, and paged over the intercom for a gardening employee to come and help - but no one ever came! I walked up and down the aisles asking employee after employee if they could help with the tree until FINALLY this tiny, unassuming older woman said "come with me dear, I'll help you." I, the customer, had to go into the dangerous area marked "employees only" so I could help her carry the tree and hold it steady on the table as she cut the bottom with an electric chainsaw, then helped lift it into the machine to net it, smh. Between the time I arrived at HD and the time I finally found someone (on my own) to help - almost 2hrs had passed. I couldn't believe it. The only reason I stuck around for so long was because I wanted to have the tree by the time my children were home from school and surprise them.

Why do the cashier employees dislike the customers?? Why do they look angry? Why don't they say thank you after your purchase. I'm just confused because there are so many people willing to work and are unemployed. Sad.

Wing nuts and screws was what I come for. I had to ask 3 ppl for help but I get cranky when it comes to stuff like hammer and nails and my dad lives all the way in Chicago. So yeah first guy was like aisle 11 and I was consumed with nails measuring it all wrong and got PISSED! Then I was about to make the guy show me (who says that) but ran into the key making guy who I asked to refer to me to a person who could show me. He points across to I believe Mr James and I laid my woes on Mr James and he came and went and measured and went thru all the packs do nails like a needle in a hay stack. I would have NEVER found them if it wasn't for him and my balloon arch would not have been complete. Good job Mr James, the Key man and the two young ladies at the door/ register keeping everything organized and in check

Worst customer service, zero phone skills, zero knowledge of product in the store And extremely rude Home Depot needs to get better employees with more knowledge

Exceptionally rude personnel today, literally pushed us out of flooring isles and laughed about it. Laugh is on them. You'll see a customer and any future referrals, they add up. Welcome to Lowes! Short and not sweet review!

This Home Depot is always full, but the customer service is lacking. The last time I was there I went to pick up items they said were in and were holding for me. When I arrived the items were not waiting for me and no one had an explanation of where the items were. They told me I would have to come back in an hour to get the items that I had already purchased online and was told they were ready for me. This really was inconvenient as I had other things I had to get done and this would cause me to be late.

I don't know why they have such a low rating when they're actually pretty nice in here. I was looking for a lock box and the gentleman working there was definitely helpful! The lady also working there helped me scan items I didn't want because I couldn't do a price check at self checkout. Everything there was organized and found things quickly.

We trusted Home Depot Home Services and spent $15,000 to redo our entire roof, gutters, siding, and windows. They now will not take responsibility for a failing roof. They outsource their warranty claims to a third-party company, so if you think you're paying for Home Depot to handle your project, you are wrong. All they do is outsource to a local sub-contractor, up-charge you, and pass you off to someone else when you have issues.Job 5194195 (roof), 5197804 (gutters), 5197807 (siding), 5197811 (windows)Work completed in September 2010.I started my first contact with Home Depot in mid-April 2020 and it is now July 3rd 2020.Our roof is shingled in the front and low slope membrane in the back due to the differences in roof angle. The low slope membrane has started to slide down and is exposing the layer underneath.Turns out, Home Depot only registered a warranty for the shingles and not the low slope membrane. This is a ridiculous mistake. Who only warranties one side of a roof when the entire roof was being redone? The shingles were warrantied for 30 years, so had they registered the warranty for both like they should have, we would've been covered until 2040.I called the original branch in Long Island that handled it but they are permanently closed. I reached out to their customer service line to file a claim but this is when I found out Home Depot doesn't handle their own claims. They outsource to a company called Genpact. I contacted them to file a claim and they said they'd reach out to me in 3 business days. They didn't give me a claim number nor a contact number other than their general customer service line. 5 business days pass and I call them again. They said they have no record of my request.I asked to put in a request for a claim again. 3 more days pass and I finally get a call telling me they have contacted the product manufacturer, GAF, who will be reaching out to me. A few more days pass and I get an email asking me to send physical documents. I send in the physical documents and wait. About a week later, a very pleasant GAF representative named Paige calls me and tells me they'll be sending out a local contractor to assess the situation and create an inspection report. After the inspection report is submitted to GAF, my claim is denied. This is when I found out Home Depot only registered the warranty for the shingles. The contractor even helped me call Home Depot to explain the situation and they refused to even look into it because it was "so long ago". I called the local Home Services department at 131-35 Avery Avenue in Flushing, Queens and they said they'd get back to me but never did.Since Paige was part of the shingles department, she had me transferred over to another department to handle the low slope membrane claim. After a month of investigating, they admit product failure but will only cover material costs of $350. Well $352.31 to be exact.I now have no choice since time is of the essence with roofing issues. I am forced to pay nearly $5000 for repairs or I risk damaging the rest of my house when it rains if I wait any longer. If you are reading this review and are looking to have Home Depot handle your project, I urge you not to. I handle construction projects for commercial stores in NYC, LA, and SF for a living , but 10 years ago I was in High School and my parents didn't know any better.Find and vet your own local contractor. Ask for multiple estimates and always check online reviews. Call them and email them a few times to gauge their response rate and quality. It's more work upfront but I promise you it's worth it. Support small businesses where you can actually reach someone who can help you.I tried my best to resolve this following their rules. I'm just one homeowner and Home Depot is a multi-billion dollar company, so I am using the only tool I have to get some recourse; posting my review all over the internet.I am not an unreasonable person. If someone reaches out to me who can actually help, I will happily edit this review.

This location actually deserves 0 stars. Out of the 6 people that I asked for help, only 2 attempted to help. The manager on duty, no where to be found. Even after being paged. One person in an entire store that can cut a roller shade???? No worries, I'll keep my money Home Depot. Your customer service is the absolute worst.

I have been on the phone on hold an hour and thirty minutes. I would like a curbside pick up. I'm a senior citizen and need assistance at Valley Stream. I placed one order online and the two items were sent to two different locations. I had no problem with the Elmont location. A nice young lady brought my merchandise to my car. A very attentive and customer-friendly Elmont staff also answered my phone call and changed my order from pick-up to curbside seamlessly. I was there no longer than 30 minutes.
