Brought the kids & met a friend with a two year old on a Friday August afternoon not expecting much by we were very pleasantly surprised. There is a newish playground with a large clean restroom near parking lot 2 on the north side of the lake. Kids brought their scooters & there were many paved paths, some with gentle hills to zoom on. New trees & decorative grasses are planted to fill in some of the bare spots. Lots of picnic tables in the shade with the lake in view. We also went to the pool. Very clean, fresh bathrooms, with large locking changing areas in the courtyard. The pool was also large, fresh with a shore like entry for at the shallow end. Lots of staff available at the pool area. We did not check out the snack bar. No outside food is allowed & they check your bags before you pay to get in. Only liquid in clear plastic bottles allowed in.

I really like this pool and park. The only thing I don't like is that you're not allowed to bring in your own food and beverages except for water and if you leave the pool you can re-enter, but you have to stand in the line to get back in and the line can get ridiculous so you can get locked out trying to re-enter if the pool has reached capacity even though you've already paid and have previously been in which I feel is not fair. Even the park aside from the pool is nice. There is an area to buy food that's not too pricey and they sell other items as well, such as towels. There's quarter lockers for personal items. There are grassy areas where you can sit or lie down with blankets, benches to sit or concrete areas to sit with chairs that they do allow in. There's 2 slides and a 10 foot diving pool. The best part is that it's only $5 for adults to get in. I enjoy myself at this pool once I'm in despite all the strict rules.Restrooms: There are plenty of restrooms, changing areas, and showers.

Completely disappointed! Zero star.Too many people in pool! It's dangerous to swim. Management of this pool - not qualified. They are thiefs of your money. When we come in after 25 minutes line, they close pool on 40 minutes for cleaning and adding hlor. Inside of pool you cannot swim. You can just sit and turn around. Not spend your time. Price 5$ per person from 0 age.Offer: make online reservation with limits of time inside. Yes, price go up, but people will be satisfied.Trash.

2 stars for how beautiful the pool looks and the surrounding around. BUT they asked to clear the pool 3 different times because of fecal matter being in the pool. Each time it took 30-45 minutes to reopen. Being the grass was the best. Won't be returning.Restrooms: Decent restroomsPicnic area: Great space to have a picnic.

Very affordable! Family friendly environment. No food allowed at all inside the pool, Italian ice stand is cash only. This park is safe and big enough not to feel over crowded. Crowd management is A1. If you leave to eat and want to come back you must make the line no matter what. Which does keep crowd control pretty well. Two water slides!

I love this park. We have our annual bbq here. They have a pool but I’ve yet to try it out. The bathrooms are usually clean until towards the end of the day when all the pool goers come on in and wet the floor. No snack machine or stores around. I enjoy the view and sitting by the water. It’s a very relaxing place. A state park officers came by and played with the kids tug-of-war. That was so nice and the kids loved the attention.Restrooms: Pretty Decent

It is a really beautiful Park, it has a closed space with a wooden path that takes you through a forest, it is perfect for walking, not many people enter this small place, otherwise it is perfect to spend a pleasant moment in nature, or enjoy the pool and the bbq space, I really recommend this place, because if you prefer solitary spaces you can find them, or also if you are looking for a space to be with more people.Restrooms: Easy find the restrooms

This place is nice, gets too overcrowded on weekends with Spanish people blasting music like no one else exists around them. The pool area is good, I went when it was 80 out and the water was super cold as expected so go on a hot day to jump in the pool. Pet friendly.

I love this park so be sure when you visit, you take with you what you brought in. This is a very clean park and we should keep it that way. Its a great place to take children but be sure they don't harass the wildlife; especially baby animals when they are in their nests. Respect the nature.NO DOGS AROUND THE LAKE.... be ok with it and take your dog somewhere else if you don't want the risk of being asked to leave or, worse, a bicyclist or running runs over your dog. Some people are upset about the "no pets" around the lake thing but its really for safety. Plus, you're liable for damages done to your own dog if this happens because it goes against park rules.Nice bathrooms. Clean fields. A little playground area for kids to play in field 2. The pool is awesome, my family goes every year since ours got taken down. You can visit other free parks in the area but I'm ok with paying for parking, its only 10 for the day or you can get a pass for the season if you plan frequent visits. The reason I say this is because its not free so its also very well maintained and beautiful here. I've hiked other places that aren't maintained, are free, and they're trashed by dirty city people.RESPECT OUR PARKS. RESPECT OUR NATURE. PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES.Playground: The kids have a place to play when you come here. Its a rather large playgroundRestrooms: Very clean and well maintained. I heard its harder to maintain when there's big parties but thats to be expectedDog-friendliness: You can walk your dog on knickerbocker road, just not the park path. You'll be breaking the rules & also putting your dog at risk of getting run over from a bike or runner.Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas spread apart for nearly-private functions being possible. Just respect the park; don't set ground fires, burn the tables or vandalize the picnic tables. They're here for everyone to use; leave it nice for the next person.

Beautiful park with a large lake, lots of picnic tables with bbq grills, playground, great for the family. You can bike around the lake. Path is fairly flat and covers a good area. You get to see lots of wild life. You can also bike along the Hudson south and it will connect to Nyack Beach State Park. Only there’s a very steep hill near the Rockland side but it was ok. We just got off and pushed our bikes. I plan on coming back in summer to check out their swimming pool.
