If you are looking for a pharmacy to provide you the wrong procedural/legal/medical information for your prescription, and cause a delay to pick-up up your medication, then congrats you have found your match.
Inconsistency is a core value for their practice. They are always ready to give you any faulty and wildly inaccurate information to get you to hang up faster on the phone, and to get you to go away.
Today, I had to call back today to advocate for myself, only to be told by Meredith that “she didn’t bother checking” and that I was right. Pretty humiliating experience.
Be ready to skip a few days here and there on your treatment when this is your pharmacy.

As always the worst service. I had to fight with them to take my insurance cards as they continuously told me they were the wrong member numbers. I need to call my insurance company. So I do. There's nothing wrong with my numbers. Go back for them to yell at my insurance provider that they are wrong over my phone. Then the pharmacist magically gets my insurance to go through as she mistyped the numbers. Still convinced that my daughters insurance is wrong we were never able to get her prescription. It always seems to be a fight to get prescriptions here. They never actually call to tell you when they are filled. If by some off chance they do, you arrive and they aren't actually ready or my favorite they never received any prescriptions. Staff is rude. How dare you come in and need anything from them. One plus, while I was on the phone with my insurance they provided me with other pharmacy that also takes our insurance so we can take our business else where. Do better Rite Aid. Your staff are rude and sick people should not have to fight for their meds!

These people implemented a new role that even though they know exactly who I am and have other forms of ID I have to have a scannable New York state ID or I cannot get my medication I can't go to work without my meds so I have to pay a stranger now to pick them up for me I will be loitering out front looking for the right person to ask

I'm writing this review because I was reading that other people are having the same problem and I'm sure it's with the same one but I should be able to call the pharmacy and ask any question without being talked down to for being told that my doctor is incompetent and then I need to do my doctor's job and that the pharmacist pretty much just fills the medication she doesn't call the doctor nor does she inform the doctor how to make the prescription better and correct so that way it's on a back and forth daily thing while I go without my medication the pharmacist thinks going without my medication is my fault due to me not making sure that my doctor did her job which I was informed that was my job. Pharmacist that was on the phone is the same pharmacist literally acts like she hates her job and always hasn't had an attitude with someone or tell them that they're wrong and find every way not to help someone just to get off the phone or had the next patient come up she argued with me and told me that my doctor canceled all of my prescriptions without even looking not realizing I was there yesterday picking up the other two and the same furnace just told me that my doctor hasn't sent in the prescription since the 4th when there was a script something2 days ago last night and today. She told me that my doctor was incompetent and that after four prescriptions she shouldn't still be sending in the same mistakes which the reception is called yesterday and got the appropriate directions from the previous script install that wasn't correct and then the day it's as simple changing direction and at the pharmacy state or job and actually worked with my doctor this could have been resolved instead she wants my doctor to do this extra stuff and go out of her way right a prescription instead of sending it just so I can go another day without my medication it's because of this pharmacist and nothing is getting done correctly or nor does anyone want to sit there and try to correct this because of her attitude and blaming the patient for a simple doctor error so for now on I'll make sure my doctor hands me her Prescription Pad and I'll write the script myself since I have to look over her work I mean maybe the pharmacist wants me to fill her medications too cuz that's not her job or maybe I can teach her how to talk to people and learn some customer service skills or write it just needs to fire this lady or continue to keep getting these reviews on here about the continuous pharmacist because the rest of them are great but I definitely wouldn't want to work with somebody that sits there and talks down to people the way she does but I hope she enjoys telling my doctor who has a medical degree how incompetent she is and tell her how making the same mistake so many times was her patient's fault I definitely would like to see what my doctor said to that lady but I'm sure I won't be the only one complaining instead of helping the doctor you went against the doctor and that's something you don't do cuz you put the patient in harm and make them go without their medication for no reason.I I figured I was going to get a typical response so I did some investigation and actually found a form for complaints and I called customer service at the same time all these reviews and obviously they're dealing with the same thing I definitely hope that the pharmacist is no longer employed there and I also don't need to do someone else's job especially a pharmacist who should be talking to a doctor in the working with a doctor making sure that the patient is taken the right medication and everything is good by telling me that I need to fix my doctors mistake and it's not her job is literally an accident waiting to happen and the next person might not get so lucky so is that person family going to get the same response that I got. I definitely don't want to get anyone fired I'm all about finding a solution but this person def

This is the most ghetto pharmacy ever. They always have an issue with using the drive thru. Elderly people shouldn’t be made to come inside because they’re to lazy to staff the drive thru and their register at the drive doesn’t work so they also want people to come inside which is a huge inconvenience. They are always rude and just need to fire all the pharmacy staff and get new more professional people. I hate this location. If it wasn’t for insurance purposes and my daughters need I wouldn’t even use this place!! Don’t forget they fill the wrong prescriptions and never apologize when they constantly mess up

Horrible system they have for pharmacy. I already know they don’t answer the phones back there… I work for a pediatric office and I know when I call as a provider I can’t even get on the phone with a pharmacist at times. Today I was there as a customer picking up my son’s prescriptions. I received a text informing me that my medication was ready to be picked up. I arrived at the drive thru and saw a sign in the window to come inside because of their staffing issues. I went inside, they found my son’s medication but it was billed under some kind of medical card that I never even heard of and was going to be charged $18.00 for it…. even though we have been filling medication there for the past 2 years and nothing has changed. I asked them if they billed through his fidelis or Medicaid? Because I knew as of April 1st ,2023 fidelis medications will have to be billed through Medicaid. She said she would have to bill through fidelis first. So I waited for them to figure out how to fix what they already put in the system, to only find out they don’t even have his card on file ( remember how I said we have been filling scripts there for 2 years). I went back to my car got his insurance card, waited on another line and when she finally runs the fidelis the system informs her that she has to bill through Medicaid instead, like what I was trying to explain to her earlier. The insurance card I gave them didn’t have the CIN number on it. They were ready for to walk away but I called the office I work for and was able to get his CIN number immediately. They were finally able to run it but than asked me if I can sit around for another 15 minutes while they prepare it…. Anyone that has to go through the above chain of events, would drive anyone mad with anger. I left and went back home because I was definitely about to lose my cool. I’ll return soon to see how much more my blood pressure will go up.

Do not use this pharmacy. Just… don’t. I can’t understand why these pharmacists and pharmacy technicians do this job when they simply do not care about you or your medication. It takes me at least half an hour of calling over and over again for them to even answer, and when they do, they’re not willing to work with you what so ever. Simply judgmental and unprofessional, the whole team.

Majority (minus like two women) of the Pharmacy staff can be rude and very unprofessional , almost every encounter I have either be it by phone or in person the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. On more than a couple occasions I have called in medications through the system and when I came to pick up they said it wasn’t ready and I should wait for a text however the system a) stated I should wait until a specific timeframe which I do and did and b) it doesn’t always send texts. When I advise staff of this I get the response as if it is my issue there is never any accountability on their end! Customer service and communication are key factors in all businesses. I’ve worked in many different industries and had some of the worst customers and communicators but always as an individual behaved in a professional manner, if you don’t like the job leave don’t be mad at clients or customers coming and asking questions or bringing up issues and concerns due to a poor experience or lack of knowledge on how something is or if insurance regulations change. The rite aide on genesee street I have had by far the worst customer service experience and am seeking alternative options for pharmaceutical services !

Came at 2:00pm on Saturday to pick up a medication that a dark haired lady at the front desk at the pharmacy said was called in to them on Thursday at 10:30am. The medication was NOT ready and they told us we’d have to wait for 20 minutes. I inquired about the wait and a dark haired man from the back stated that “if they had to call every patient that they didn’t have insurance on file for, they’d never get anything done.” I’m sorry, but if you spent a minute of your day to call and ask (which I’m pretty sure is part of your job description), you wouldn’t be inconveniencing us 20 minutes waiting. 2/3 staff was very rude when asked a simple question. Blonde haired gentleman came to the front desk about 5 minutes later and asked why we were waiting and proceeded to hand us the medication meanwhile the dark haired man and woman very loudly so that we could hear, proceeded to mock my question of “why we weren’t called to get the insurance information.”
