If I could give this o stars I would. There was two workers here taking care of my 3 year old that had speech impediment. One day I had randomly walk in to find one of the workers alone with my daughter coming crying she had said that she I put her on time out because of not behaving. Felt little weird about what she stated, but still check my daughter for anything. The next two days I received and just like other parents in the class letter from CPS, reporting she about these two individuals hitting and pulling littles hair ext. god only knows the negative thoughts that went to my mind. I took them to court because they need more requirements from. New hires specially when dealing with kids. Could you believe the administrator in court said that maybe the kids were misbehaving so bad that this happened.I fought so much for something to be done. I was told by the judge that the worker was charged with criminal charges what else would I want from this. My daughter through out the year to current needs counseling and is on medication because of this. This system is horrible.due to this I would never place my kids in any childcare, but I do understand that when you have no resources and have the obligation to place your kids in these is needed. For those ask you please do research like that what happened to and others around me won’t happen to you. Is just sick that others around had stated that they had to tell them on numerous occasions to take a break from thee kids because they had also noticed how angry they were smh. This place is horrible don’t bring your kids here.

My son has been in counseling since his father died. The person he sees here is the first one to ever get thru to him. His behavior is improving and he's learning helpful coping skills

my sons both have gone to the Neighborhood Center for treatment for many years .No place is perfect but ,they really like their counselor Britton Terras and I think it's great that when kids look forward to seeing their counselor who they really feel is in their corner fighting for them and I totally respect that . Thank you Britton !

As client of the Neighborhood Center I have found their to be a lot of Mismanagement and disorganization , people doing jobs that they have not been trained for example, running specialized groups as an example, DBT skills groups, which you need years of training to do. Some staff have barely entry level qualifications or none at all. Some times they let members run specialized groups and the members give dangerous and some times harmful advice. I found the Neighborhood Center to be very dangerous and members to be very unruly people at times begging for money and stealing from me some times their is no staff present to deal with dire situations that might in need of attention. I have stopped going there for my own safety. The location is not very safe also. I will never go back!

The neighborhood center has cancelled 4 psychiatric appointments in a row and she refuses to change my medicine even though it makes me sick. I do not recommend to anyone! Out of 10 appointments I’ve had they have cancelled 4.
