I suggest not using lowes unless you want to wait in long lines with the public as they try to figure out how to use these machines instead of humans. Corporate greed. Increase prices decrease customer service cashiers etc.

Bought a service of $20,000+ to redo the roofing at one of our property back in July 2022. Had to claim a dispute because I received my first payment charge despite the service not being rendered until September. Then the construction crew worked on the roofing in which cause property damage to my Neighbor’s siding and fence which cause animosity and resentment. I complained that his crew left nails from roofing around my property causing potential hazardous damage to pedestrians and car. Next day, sent a bunch of teenagers to clean up the mess. My recent issue is with Finance department where the policy for interest-deferred wasn’t updated along with the issue of the service being rendered 2 months later so I have a shorter time to pay off the service. Despite Lowes customer service finance department acknowledging they were in the wrong, they are unable to accommodate my request to extend the interest deferred promotion. I was given an additional 11,000$+ fee to pay on top of loan remaining balance 10,000$ if the loan is not paid within the grace period. What an absolute BS of CUSTOMER SERVICE and LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY in business practice.
I can pay off the remaining balance BUT I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES AGAIN. This is your warning to other potential customers on big projects for home improvement. RUN!

Company seems to be going downhill. If you are lucky you can find the one employee who knows anything and wants to be helpful. Empty slots/spots on shelves? Pro staff ended up ordering for me. However on the pickup date they said we would have to drive 45 minutes to a different store. Couldn't ship to this store even if we could wait for parts. We recently cancelled our credit card with them when they informed us we would be charged monthly if we wanted a paper statement.

I'm giving a 3 because we went to lowes in New Hartford to look at smokers. The one we wanted was out of stock. Employee working that section was extremely rude 😒 He acted as though he didn't want to be bothered. We took our business elsewhere

On multiple occasions I've had a manager lie to me about return policy and gave me a hard time.
I've bought a ring doorbell and it was a used, already returned doorbell missed half the hardware that was repackaged. I tried to get my money back because I wanted a NEW doorbell and they said they could not return it, but instead give me 10% of my money back.....
Recently I bought a paint sprayer that did not work out of the box. I asked for my money back and he said the manufacturer will give me a return number, then Lowes can give me my money back. That was also a complete lie. The manufacturer is not the distributer of the product, Lowes owes me the customer the return on damaged products....

This was by far one of the worst overall shopping experiences I’ve ever seen/been a part of, I am a customer service team lead for a store and I see just about all transactions or issues with every customer, and how our purchase/transaction was handled/resolved was absolutely piss poor. We were trying to place an order to be shipped to a new house that we are moving into for a fridge, microwave and stove. At checkout in store it took an hour and a half to just place the orders for those three items, and if that wasn’t bad enough, the fridge we ordered randomly had the order cancelled because it couldn’t be shipped from a certain warehouse. Then the fridge finally came in and it had a dent on the side. We then spent about 3 hours between both in store and on the phone just trying to cancel the order for the fridge. Overall this process has been absolutely terrible and we will never be purchasing anything from Lowe’s again, and for compensation for our struggles we were offered 20% off our next purchase in store when we had already made it clear we did not want to do business with them again after this issue (which was just a nice way to top it all off) not to mention through all of that we went to Home Depot and got the same fridge for $150 cheaper and no delivery fee, and were in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Just unbelievable how much better a store Home Depot is compared to Lowe’s.

Home & property improvement is the game. It's a good thing I like the color blue because I spend time at Lowe's at least once a week. My tomato plants, in Lowes buckets.

This visit to the garden center was a nice experience. The woman who checked us out was super friendly and had a great laugh! I forget her name, but it was very pretty and unique (it started with two constonants). She was from Downstate in the city. There was also a gentleman named Mike who was helping an older couple. He, too, was all smiles and friendly. They made the trip delightful! Oh and always a great garden supply although they need to sell more grape vines. :)

The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars and not 1 star was because of the first CSR member who tried to help me. I bought some outlets from Lowes that I needed an election to install. Unfortanately, by the time the electrician was able to come, it was past the 90 day return policy, and the electrician couldn't do the install.
The first CSR member tried several times/ways to return it or do a store credit, but couldn't. She said she would get her manager who COULD do it. When the manager came over, she barely even tried. She looked at the date, touched a few keys, and then said that since it is past 90 days, there is nothing she could do. I was trying to explain about the electrician, and that I don't have any control over how long it takes for them to come out as everyone is quite busy at this time, she literally walked away from me while I was still talking. I wasn't yelling, or screaming. I wasn't causing a scene. I was just trying to explain why it was past the 90 days, so we can do something. Plus, the other CSR already told me she had the power to over-ride it. And she didn't even try.
Even if she was truly unable to do it, I can't believe how she walked away from me while I was still talking. I won't be back to that store. I don't know if I'll ever shop at any Lowes again.

I ordered carpet on April 19th for a basement project I have been working on for a couple months now under the impression that it would be at the store within two weeks (there were no back orders or estimated delays when I placed the order) after not receiving any communication from the store whatsoever other than a sales representative calling me a few days after the order was placed asking me to cancel the order and reorder with him so he could make the commission off the job (very unprofessional) I decided to call the store just before the two weeks to check on a status. I was informed that there was a delay in the carpet and that nobody could give me an answer and to call back after the two weeks and somebody should know more. So I called back on May 7th (2 1/2 weeks after I ordered) and was informed by an associate that the carpet came in damaged and the assistant manager made the decision to order a new one without calling me or informing me (didn’t know the assistant manager was buying the carpet and could make decisions for items customers are purchasing without consulting them first) I was very upset about this and after asking for a manager numerous times David from the pro team was put on the phone and he was wonderful and helped me out and Lowe’s was able to discount my carpet and they told me I’d be receiving within two weeks just like the last one. Forward to today, We are now at 2 1/2 weeks again, still no communication from any team members about what the delay is, I called last Saturday to ask for an update and was told that nobody could update lowes from the supplier until Tuesday because of the holiday. I have once again asked for a manger to contact me and was told that I would be contacted on Tuesday, and still I wait for not only an update, but management to contact a customer who has been both strung along, and left in the dark about a carpet he purchased over a month ago now. To add to the frustration the reason I need the carpet is to finish a bedroom in my house because I have a newborn who was born on May 7th which was also dictated throughout this process to ensure everybody was aware that I needed an easy transition. Living in a house that is down a room with children and a newborn is difficult on its own, let alone culminating it with the most terrible customer service and management I have ever witnessed.
