Made an appointment on line two hours before. Checked in and sat down 5 minutes early. They took 2 walk-ins ahead of me (neither could sign in correctly and were told as much by the tech). They still told them to come back while I sat there. ( I was the only one of the “check in” screen when I was there first and alone)
I cancelled and went to a different lab to have blood drawn. I would avoid this location on Genesee St. in Utica.

I just left here about 10 minutes ago and as a person who is not to fond of needles this place was hands down the best place I have ever had blood work done. Less than 5mins and I was out the door, barely felt the needle. 100% place for any future blood work.

I arrive at my appointment, and the nurse informs me that I need a physician referral to get some very simple tests done. That's perfectly OK with me because that's their protocol and I should've been more informed before walking in there.But, she then goes on to dispute and give me incorrect information that it is impossible to get any type of blood work done in New York without a doctor's referral, which is completely false. I'm not sure how you can be so uninformed of direct access" or "self-order" testing as a health care practitioner. It is common knowledge that STD tests, pregnancy tests, and some types of genetic tests do not require a doctor's referral.Furthermore - you CAN receive a Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) lab test in New York State without a medical referral, which is why I was there. Instead of just telling me that their lab specifically has protocols in place that won't allow you to do that, she tells me that I'm "imagining" all the times I've gotten lab work done without a referral LOL.I will never show up at this facility again because I do not feel comfortable letting unethical and ill-educated health care employees to perform anything for me, and I would advise everyone else to do the same if possible.

Just visited 1904 labcorp, on genesee st. Had a lady named Georgetta do my bloodowork. Straight from the start she was extremely personable and sweet! Made my visit so much easier (I hate bloodwork) but she made me comfortable. She's so so gentle and good at what she does ! I'll be requesting her in the future.

Can't beat the service and georgetta is such a funny person and nice ❤️ she brings alot of personality too this company I gotta give it too her ... She helps she polite if she does not have an answer to something she will find it she's one of the best phlebotomist .... You don't feel a thing in and out with the most up respect she gives every single patient.

Very very very rude! Seems like doing their jobs is such an inconvenience. Had their phones out and were going off, very unprofessional. Also didn't sanitize the waiting area that I could see. Spoke negative of other lab sites. Had blood work done, worse pain I've ever experienced, had blood drawn all my life worse pain ever experienced. Will never go there again and would recommend you don't go there for blood work.

Never have I experienced such amazing service getting blood work.I told the girl I’m terrified of needles,she was accommodating,kind,soft spoken,patient,gentle and quick.

I go in to get lab work done, the lady inside stops me and says her system restarted and it will be 30 minutes before she can do anything! 30 minutes, what are they using, a system from the '80s?I went back to my car & googled other lab sites, while there another person goes in, however, they don't come back out, figuring they would have if she told them the same thing.
