DoubleTree by Hilton Utica is a historic hotel right in the downtown area, close to the auditorium and Nexus Center. The beautiful lobby offers a historic and beautiful scene, especially during the holidays. Guests find the rooms to be large, spacious, clean, modern, comfortable, and beautiful, with some featuring nice big bathrooms or a jacuzzi tub. The staff is generally described as friendly, attentive, and focused on the guest experience, with warm cookies provided at check-in. There is plenty of free parking. However, the property is also noted as a bit old, banged up, and in need of a refresh, with some maintenance issues like doors that don't close right. The on-site bar is considered alright, but the restaurant may not be open for early breakfast, and the hotel does not have an ATM, which some find inconvenient. The cost can be higher, but many feel the location, comfort, and quality provide good value.
This was a perfect stay! Loved the hotel and it was very clean. I look forward to going back.

The room was large, clean and modern. The lobby was a beautiful historic scene for the holidays. The restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast at 8am when I was heading out, but other than that I had a great stay.
