Our daughter started in the twaddler program in April of 2023 when she was 18 months old.
This was our first experience with a daycare / school program. From day 1 we were treated like family. Gladys and her team were nothing but supportive of us through the early days of adjusting my 18 month old to daycare and continued to support us until her last day at 3 years old.
Kim or Meza always called to let me know she was ok after a rough drop off. We always felt that we were a team with the teachers and staff caring for our daughter to see she was developing. Her best interest was always put first. We always felt that they went above and beyond to create a fun learning environment. Special guest visits from safety swim or the fire department, mystery readers from parents and grand parents.
Our daughter began to THRIVE early on. She went from babbling to speaking to speaking in full sentences quickly from the time she started. Every week I felt like she knew more and more.
She was always excited to go to “bubbles”!
All of the teachers were wonderful- loving, patient, supportive. They all know all the kids!
Our daughter made wonderful friends at the learning experience!
Gladys is truly wonderful! You can tell how invested she is in each child and their family.

“My daughter attended Primrose for 2.5 years and it was the best experience for her and us as first time parents!Everything from the food to the curriculum was outstanding. My daughter graduated last month and she already knows how to read and write! She even learned how to speak spanish, and best of all, she was taught Math as a 4 year old!The communication is what really impressed me right from the beginning. I was able to communicate with the admin and the teacher via the Procare app and even by calling (even if that was multiple times a day)The building is only a few years old and it is so clean inside, you really feel like you're leaving your child in good hands!”

“So happy we found St Marks Nursery School. My son spent two summers going to camp there and was enrolled in the three and fours program. The teachers and staff are phenomenal. Fun, loving, energetic personalities that keep the kids always wanting to learn. They learn through play, reading, interactive activities and field trips and so much more. There is a music class that they all attend which is amazing, where the kids are so involved and having fun. The playground is a very special place as well. Because it is a co-op, parents are very involved which really gives it that family/community feel. Participations days at the school are a highlight for me. I love being in class with my kids seeing what they do and getting to spend time with them there. We’ve met some amazing friends while at St Marks which was so nice since we were new to the area. My oldest is now in kindergarten and excelling. I know it’s because of the experience he had at St Marks. My daughter is now in the 3s program and thriving and making friends and having a blast. So happy she still has this coming summer and next year so we can continue to be a part of the St Marks family.”

“My 2 girls have been going here for the past year and love it. They love their teachers and all the activities they do with them. One of my girls started kindergarten this year and Ms. Jo & Ms. Johnna prepared her for school. She learned so much in their pre-k program. In the morning the girls were always so excited to go to the school they would forget to give us a hug goodbye. “After spending the first 15 months at home with baby, the process of finding a great daycare that would met my needs and wants was not an easy task. From the minute we came for a tour, baby was very responsive, walking up to the administrative staff. It was clear my child was very pleased and enjoyed the environment.Having access to the app to see all the pictures that are posted and any questions I may have during the day is also an added benefit. Since starting at the wooden shoe, there is so much noticeable social development that we have witnessed, especially learning. Singing the alphabet , counting and just more socially excited and engaged with people are some of the few benefits of this daycare. Most importantly, from the minute I drop off my child I am not anxious, worried or concerned, because I know they are being properly cared for and loved on. All the teachers know my childs name and are soo kind. Kids want to feel important and have a desire for belonging. I can see by the way my child is excited about daycare from the minute we park the car out front, that they feel the love from everyone there. Every meal, diaper change and naps are tracked in the app, thats some great attention to detail. Even when you are away you can still keep track of what your child is doing in the day, its nice.Some other things I like that are not related to childcare, i really like how responsive the administrative staff is. I can send an email in the morning and get extremely fast responses. As a healthcare professional, I take professionalism extremely seriously, so this is a huge plus. I really like how they present themselves when it comes down to my questions and providing answers. Also, we communicate with the teacher what we are teaching our child at home, and the teacher reinforces that in school and vice versa. Its great all around.Daycare is an investment in your child's future. And this is an investment that we are extremely happy to make. This place is an answered prayer, very grateful to God for everyone at the Wooden Shoe :)”

“Exceptional preschool! My daughter was born during the pandemic and my husband and took care of her while working from home. We did not put her in a daycare, and we had no clue about the 3K program until just before the deadline for applications in 2023. I called this school for a tour and the director and staff patiently addressed all our questions and welcomed our then 3yo and 2yo for a tour. We hoped and prayed our 3yo would get into the 3k program in Fall 2023 and thankfully, she did.

Throughout the year, my daughter’s teachers showed genuine love and care towards her. I never felt like they were there just because it was their job, but I always felt like they truly cared about her. They found ways to always connect with her and with us. This was her first ever school year, her first time to be ever away from home daily under the care of people aside from myself and my husband, and she always felt at home. I never had to worry if she was in good hands because I always felt at ease with the teachers.

The director, assistant director and other staff also knew my daughter by name. They too showed genuine concern for her well-being, and I just couldn’t imagine choosing another school for my girl.

“This place is a gem. The teachers are warm, sweet and organized. They redirect rather than punish and have a great understanding of childhood development. The owners are professional, friendly and go out of their way to make sure our questions are answered. They communicate quickly. I love the app they use that keeps me informed about what my child did, what they ate, when they used the bathroom, napped, etc. The classrooms are a good size. The backyard has a small playground perfect for young kids and they bring in extra curricular teachers like for music, sports, etc. But the best indicator to me is that my 3 year old LOVES going there and actually cries when she CAN’T go. As a parent, that is the best feeling”
