Our stay was very enjoyable! We were in cabin 3, and it was super cute and very cozy. We stayed on Labor Day for one night, and I think we might have been the only occupants there! It was super quiet, other than the traffic driving by. I LOVED the snack basket idea. Very cute and unique. The faux fireplace heater was very nice and created a cozy atmosphere. The shower was a little tough because I couldn't adjust the head, so I had to stand on my tippy toes and kind of lean against the wall to have the water on my head. Definitely great for a taller person. Not a deal breaker at all. The bed was very comfortable. As a whole it was decently clean. I did notice some grass clippings and dirt around the perimeter of some of the floor, mostly in the bathroom. That was it though. It is a cabin after all. It does show in the welcome binder that they follow CDC guidelines for cleaning between occupants, so that was comforting to see as well.
One minor suggestion I wanted to make is to have a very narrow table along the wall by the bathroom, just to have another surface area to set things down on. We managed just fine, though!
The owners were super kind when we met them. We were having car troubles and the owner gave us some recommendations. We ended up using Leroy's garage and they were fantastic. They made it so our car could get us home safely. Thank you so much for the referrals!
We would absolutely stay again! Thanks for the lovely experience!

Many, many thanks to the proprietor of Northwood cabins. We were really in a pinch and he singlehandedly saved the day. If I could give six stars I would!
The cabin we stayed in was clean, cozy, and a welcome respite from 2 days of straight rain while we were camping at Fish Creek campgrounds. I can't say thanks enough.

This cute little place that's has several cabins, ranging from 2-4 people. Owners on site and are absolutely amazing and extremely friendly people. This cabin 3 smallest one out of them all but has all the amenities of hotel room. Shower, cable, Internet, fridge, a/c and small heater for them cold Tupper lake nights. And location right on main strip just outside the village. Worth looking into and checking it out.

We have always liked cabins, but there are fewer and fewer of them along the roadsides of America. A lovely couple bought this place in 2016 and they have put a lot of love into renovating the nine cabins. (Nine, yes. Cabin 6 is, um, a fun topic to ask about, given that there is a Cabin 10.)The location is along the main road from Tupper Lake to Saranac Lake, with many lakes and trails accessible from this road. You'll love these cozy cabins when you return from a day hike!

My wife and I stayed here on a cross country trip. A delightful place. Very quaint cabins that made me flash back to my childhood days. When we got up in the morning there was a bucket of morning goodies in on the porch. It rained while we were there but I enjoyed sitting on one of the comfortable chairs on the front porch. I rated five stars on everything but the room which I gave four stars. The minor issues that brought it down to four stars are that the room is very cutely decorated with this and that (oars, vintage fishing paraphernalia and whatnot) but unfortunately it gave the room a cluttered feel. We would have preferred the space over the decor. Not a biggie or a deal breaker, but noteworthy. Also there was excessive condensation gathering on the outside of the toilet which eventually became a puddle. Again, not a deal breaker. I recommend this place to stay.We would stay here again. Even though it is right on the road where cars are whizzing by at 55 mph you nevertheless felt out in the country.

My wife and I have gone here a few times and now bring other family members and their kids. We've always had a great time. The rooms are cozy and amazingly well designed and have the best interior designs which are unique to each cabin. Additionally, the location is awesome for visiting numerous lakes around the Adirondacks. I definitely recommend going.

The hosts were very personable. I stay at places like this because they can accommodate my canoe trailer without it being a major thing. They made it easy. I'd stay again for sure.
