The vet took time to explain many aspects of dog care with me. I thought one of the staff behind the desk could have been friendlier.Addendum: The staff member has been pleasant. It was a one time issue.

Never been there before. My husband bumped into this place and he told the dr about my dogs condition. I go there and the lady at the front desk gave me paperwork to fill out. I did and when asked for a credit card. I said I don’t have one but my husband has it I can have him give you the information. She was looking at me like I was stupid and said let me ask the dr. So he comes out and says we need a credit card. I said you act like we want free service. So I put my husband on the phone with the girl and she had a face like she didn’t want to talk to him. I’m holding my dog because he can’t walk and I guess she expected me to write the information when she can do it if my hands are tied up with my dog. So my husband was asking her questions then he said to put me back on the phone. He was confused with what she was saying so I explained and I gave her back the phone and she had an attitude and a face. So I said are you ok or do you not want to do your job. So she says you know what you need to go and see a different vet. I said no I’m here and you’re gonna see my dog. Then the dr comes out and treats me the same. I was like if you don’t know how to treat people you should t be working here. They thought we wanted free service and I guess because I’m not white and live in the rich white people area they can’t give me service. So yes I cursed them out and left. So that was a horrible and bad experience. And seeing the reviews. I’m glad I didn’t have my dog checked. And to the person that they killed their dog I’m so sorry for your loss!! May your dog rip!! Dr acting like he didn’t k ow my husband or speak to him please. You should have put your worker in her place and not treat me the way she did. She got treat and spoken to the way I was treated. And I spoke to you the way you were treating me period!!! And when I was leaving the dr walked behind me to basically close the door in my face!! How rude and unprofessional!! I’ve seen all the reviews. This place is money hungry!! Sorry not sorry!! I’m sticking with my dogs dr. We just wanted a second opinion!! Thank God my husband told me to leave!! Or I would have left there with a huge bill. Why ask for credit card information before even seeing the pet!!!

I am happy for the service . North and Lizzy (dogs) are well treat it . They are the best . We have a baby cat that I will take him there to take his first shot. ?

Our rescue has so many medical and emotional issues and the vets and staff have taken such good care of him. We thought he may not walk again and now he is running around like a mad man! This entire staff is amazing!

Our local rescue organization is taking in two 10 year old cats from a couple that got a divorce. The wife was going to euthanize the healthy cats. The rescue group needed vet paperwork and saw that this vet hospital recently prescribed 400mg of Gabapentin for these cats which is NOT needed for them and that is enough to kill them! I will be reporting this practice for malpractice!!!!!!! SHAME ON YOU

Gave a women 400mg of Gabapentin for her cats. Cats only need about 5mg per lb of weight. The women was wanting to euthanize them so this is FISHY! Our local rescue group requested the vet paperwork and saw this on there.

Overpriced. Money hungry and disrespectful practice. We understand their recommendations however they don’t respect our (the owners) decisions regarding whether we go ahead with them. We have an older dog and have decided not to go ahead with certain options… personal decision. They kept on threatening us and now they won’t issue our dogs usual medication unless we spend all this money on additional tests. This is detrimental to our dogs health but we shouldn’t be threatened with his medication! They even tell us how important it is he keeps taking it but won’t fill the script! We have happily gone elsewhere where there is a much better collaborative and respectful relationship. Reading the other reviews regarding the staff on front desk - I can relate to the frustrations there too. You’ll be happier going elsewhere and your pets will be better looked after. and you’ll save money.. I can confirm their exam fees, vaccinations, medication and lab costs are more expensive than other NY practices.

Obviously here at this vet, it's all about money. They are rude and cold! 1st off, if you're not a regular, they charge you $175 to even look at your pet. Also on paperwork to fill out, they ask if you consider your pet a family member or just a pet! Terrible how they take advantage of people and their pets in need of care! They are many other vets in the area that can talk to you over the phone, more caring, compassionate and accommodating...

I previously met Mike at the day care downstairs and he was terrific This review is for the veterinary practice. My pet saw Dr. Meglino for the first time recently. He gave him vaccines he was already immunized for without asking me (and they had the records for), clipped his nails without asking me first, gaslit me for experiences my dog has had in the past, did a full blood panel without any medical necessity including a urine sample taken directly from his bladder. It is clear this practice is not attentive to detail as they continue to call my male dog a female. We needed only one vaccine and walked out with a $550 bill and traumatized dog... I give 2 stars because the team are very responsive and friendly.

Excellent care for our Gertie. Dr. Meglino took so much time with our newly adopted, 12 year old terrier, who came to us with a severe skin condition/allergy. We had just spent thousands at an allergist who though she had Cushings disease, but she did not. She has severe allergies. Dr. Meglino put her on Apoquel and we saw almost instant results. AND, the doctor was reachable with the many questions we had and the office (shout out to Cat and Alex) followed up to see how she was responding. We transferred our dogs to this vet because we were looking for more of a relationship and we got it! Highly recommend. I'm unsure about the negative reviews (maybe there was someone else in the front who is no longer there?)

Ouch. Clearly you have to get past the front desk. My first visit and it did not start well. I wanted some information from my records to book an appointment. Staff seemed annoyed, then the phone rang. Clearly people calling in have front line privileges as a conversation developed while I just stood there. I walked out and it was not noticed. They did call me. I suggest that you call if you need anything.

Completely unprofessional! I have been bringing my dog, Hayley to the doggie daycare downstairs (Kennedy Canine Center) which is great. I needed to board her in the Tuckahoe Animal Hospital for two days which is perfect because she would play all day and go upstairs at night to sleep. I booked nearly six weeks in advance and they did not say anything about needing a checkup from their office. I followed up about 10 days out and still nothing about the checkup (just that I needed to send her health records from my vet). I sent the health records (vaccines etc.) over three days in advance and still nothing about needing a checkup. Today, they tell me that she needs a checkup to be able to be boarded tomorrow and that there are no appointments available. Completely left us without care for my dog. Unacceptable.

I'm surprised by all the one star reviews. Having been going here for 5 years and have always had a great experience with the doctors I've met with. The front desk can come as somewhat exasperated but they are clearly busy and always on it!
