Wonderful bookstore. A good mix of used and antiquarian books. Some real oddities and treasures mixed into the shelves. The proprietor is friendly and happy to chat about books. Contrary to a previous review, the ambiance is lovely. Stacks of books on the floor is the sign for me of a good used bookstore.
"Open by appointment, invitation, and serendipity." We caught it by serendipity on a Saturday afternoon.

We love used book stores but this one had no special ambiance. There were stacks of books on the floor. The whole store smelled of cat pee.

As others have said, great little bookstore with hours by chance! I stopped in on a whim while traveling through the area, and left with a lovely first edition travel book from 1899. Broad selection, lots of well-kept tomes, and a bright atmosphere. Worth a visit!

Stopped in here for the first time. Thousands of books packed into this place. I was pleased to find some books on medieval subjects. My wife says the selection of knitting books is stellar. (Turns out the owner's wife is a compulsive knitter, like mine.) Open by appointment or serendipity, so take your chances.

Only able to spend a short time here d/t a tight schedule. I walked out with 4 books after browsing for 15 minutes and there were tons of books I longed to peruse as I hurried back to the car with my Sunday morning coffee from next door in hand. Every title I saw I thought, oh yes that was supposed to be good but I never got to read it. Of course many current titles easily found online;), but the beauty of this store is it provides all the books you never had time to read in hard cover literally everywhere you look. Prices are great, selection beyond compare. I wish it wasn't 4 1/2 hours away:) I will be back!

This small book store is open by appointment only. That alone gives it a bit of a feel like you're in a Harry Potter movie! No wands alas, only excellent books in New or great condition!

Such a great bookstore full of all sorts of treasures. The owner was very personable and enjoyable to talk to. We did not have nearly enough time on our trip to brows as much as we wanted, but we will definitely be back!
