I was impressed by this dealership! Zak was great to work with. The entire process of trading in my lease and getting into a new Silverado was unbelievably easy and fast. He responded to my inquiry right away and had the paperwork ready to sign and leave in under 20 minutes the next day. Highly recommend!!

Went with my daughter for the purchase of a vehicle. Was impressed with salesman, Jerod, and his thoroughness, professionalism and knowledge of the Chevrolet!! Glad we decided on Maguire.

Living in a small town, auto purchases and repair options are somewhat limited, and especially when companies like Maguire do their best to limit competition. What’s difficult to reconcile is when the nice people in your community work there, but they are the same people pushing a company (un)ethic that financially exploits fellow community members. In short, this place is over priced. I am tired of having to pay extra for lubricant when I am “serviced” by Maguire, and I have finally learned that the added inconvenience of taking my vehicles 10 miles away to Ithaca is a better deal. It is too bad that this has to be the case. And finally, after my most recent overpriced quote for service, I decided to take the time to share my experience with everyone I encountered that day. The interesting thing about that experience was that everyone I spoke with also had a tale of unhappiness related to Maguire. The takeaway is that, though most folks one interacts with there are nice, that’s not worth the extra money that will be extracted from your wallet if you choose to follow through with any business matter. Win/ win outcomes don’t seem to matter there; Maguire wins and the consumer loses, unless the consumer is utterly desperate and nonchalant about spending money.Trumansburg and Ithaca need better car dealer and repair options than Maguire. Being limited in such a way leaves consumers in a bad position that Maguire happily exploits. I am once again very disappointed by the Maguire Family because they don’t seem to comprehend or care about the how their practices impact the bottom line for working families. BTW: the quote I received that day for $530 was beat by $130 for the same service that same day at Wilcox Tire In Ithaca. So, I saved $130 to suffer the inconvenience of making one more call and driving the car an extra 10 miles.Service: General repairs & maintenance

It would be prudent of them/Tim Maguire to hire more knowledgeable mechanics/technicians that can fix air conditioning systems properly. Steve and the team could not properly test the entire system to find the problem on our vehicle. The evaporator is most likely the problem and I had to find out the hard way by riding in the passenger's seat with freon leaking out of the evaporator, which is on that side of the engine compartment, and I vomited.

I have bought cars from Maguire for well over 30 years...and have used their service departments!! So I have seen quite a few Sales and Service managers! ALL of them have been great, easy to work with and show that they really appreciate the customers business!! Not to long ago...I put in a weekend emergency call, when I had a flat tire..and a meeting to get to. Matt sent a technician out, who put my spare donut on...so I could get the tire fixed....and made it to my meeting on time!! Special shout out to Steve (service)...who just got my both vehicles inspected!! THANKS!

I don't know about the sales side, but the service side is pretty bad, save for Steve. They promised a loaner car, then said they couldn't get any every morning that i called, but also said they hadn't looked at my car yet other than to say it wasn't drivable until they had time to figure out what was wrong with it. Every. Day. They said they'd call back the first day, then never did and i was left stranded at work when i expected them to bring the car or a loaner back to me as promised, or even a phone call saying no it wasn't possible. My car was there for 115 days and i ended up being switched out of several loaners each week with calls saying they needed it right away at my inconvenience. Christina was really rude and condescending at every interaction, stopping me mid sentence to ask how old i was, like i was too young to be taken seriously when discussing my warranty. She then uses a cocked head, puppy dog look to get empathy instead of frustration, and discourages you from talking. Steve on the other hand called me back after i was done to clean my car and follow up and was genuinely nice. I wish i dealt with him the whole time. They are very understaffed which is half the problem that 80% of the service staff quit this spring, so it's another reason you should go elsewhere and be serviced faster.

Okay. Everyone gets unease around the idea of choosing a car dealership. I get it. Me too. However, I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Maguire Chevy in Trumansburg! I wanted to trade down my minivan for something smaller and better on gas, but not just any car. The general manager, Matt, was so helpful (and patient!). The process took a few weeks, but Matt was able to get me the car I wanted send in from Syracuse. And after it arrived in not quite the condition I was expecting, he went above and beyond and had everything taken care of before I picked it up. AND my payment went down!! AND I have no car payment until January! Jenny was also incredibly helpful to me. There was a seamless partnership between them while working with me, so no matter who I saw when I came in, they had me covered. And there was no 'salesman' vibe. It was just pleasant and easygoing and enjoyable. I'd give more stars on this experience if I could. Thank you!!
