Asking me to leave my multi hundred dollar backpack (plus contents) with them at the front counter because what, they think I'm going to steal something? Not sure why I should do business with someone who starts off accusing me of being a criminal. Would you ask a woman to leave her purse, or someone to leave their pants because they have pockets? Ludicrous and insulting.

A little crowded only if you're pushing a baby in an Unbroller Stroller! Wonderful wide ranging items. Great prices, especially baby toys in top condition, yarn, as well as the usual clothing etc. so stop by frequently.

I used to live near the gemm shop and would frequently shop and sell as a consignor. You can find some wonderful finds.. clothing, shoes, gifts, etc. The hours are difficult for anyone working a 9 to 5 job. Definitely recommend stopping in for a visit!

How's no one reviewed this "gemm" yet? The Tburg community has a wonderful way of helping others and being exceedingly generous. It's demonstrated clearly with the Gemm Shop. This is a cozy, volunteer run thrift store tucked on Main street, consistently well organized with in season items. Their social media is up to date and they also run specials like "Frugal Friday" or Saving Saturday. The quality of items there is usually great, I've found numerous new, brand name items for cheap as well as cute vintage pieces and handmade odds and ends. As with every secondhand shop, it can be hit or miss, but that is sometimes half the fun. It's certainly worth a pop-in if you're in trumansburg!
