The billing department is colder than a frozen propane tank. After years of being a customer, I've given up on Ehrhart. They are not friendly. Luckily we have Stewart P Wilson at another residence and I can only say great things about SP Wilson. Do your self a favor and steer clear of Ehrart Energy.

Fast, reliable and friendly customer service. Prices are competitive and their maintenance plans are affordable and thorough. We have been using them for well over twenty years for heating oil and propane. Never saw a need to change service and don't think we ever will.

We have been with Ehrhart many years. Not once have they ever failed to amaze me with "old time" friendliness and customer service. This morning they sent out a service person to clean my furnace. He was the most informative, nicest person that one could ever meet. That is the great customer service that Ehrhart provides.Many years ago my furnace quit at 2 am on a Sunday morning. I called and within two hours a service person was there to get the furnace operational in sub zero weather! Find another company that cares that much about their customers!

Thier billing department is devoid of transparency. Zero line items, no past history, no dates, no account details, no heap balances. It's so simple, I can't understand it. The ticket from the delivery driver has far more details. After a decade they still can't predict usage within 50%. If you enjoy calling the accounts department regularly for vague answers, this is the best place to waste your time on the phone with.

Overall the worst customer service expericence ever. Shortly after creating an account, their website updated and I was given new account information without being notifed. I was constantly having unexpected propane deliveries, regardless of what estimated date my customer portal had posted for my next delivery. Deliveries were never on time.

Terrible company. Stay away! They will deliver to you when you don't expect it and at an overpriced cost of propane. Cost is the highest especially in the spring right before the summer when prices drop. We got a surprise bill of $1400 right before April. Not possible to return it once it's in your tank.

SAVE YOURSELF AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! We have had a long running issue with our pellet stove with them but their newest nonsense is too much. They tell us on Oct. 3rd they cannot deliver us bulk pellets, what exactly are we supposed to do now for heat this winter! They won't speak to us they simply hide behind their very nice receptionist.

Overpriced and under managed. No veterans discount and are charging incorrect fill amounts. I checked my tank prior to their arrival and compared values once I received the bill and they're fluffing the numbers the math doesn't add up. By the looks of the reviews I'm going to have a tough time with customer service during my switch to a better propane provider. For the other educated people out there fumbling through these reviews turn around and google an alternative company.

So far, very good. The budget plan is very helpful when living paycheck to paycheck. i just wish propane was less expensive because my monthly payment has doubled. Customer service is excellent and I never worry about running out of fuel.

We've had Ehrhart as our propane providers for 4+ years and always thought they supplied good customer service. But we recently had an experience with them where they went above and beyond. We smelled propane in our house and immediately called Ehrhart. They gave us instructions on what to do, including that we had to leave the house. A technician was at our house within the hour and found that the leak was coming from a knob on our gas stove that had been turned on. However, the tech also found a small leak within our gas lines. He couldn't get an accurate reading of the leak on his gauge so he sent another technician out to look it over. They were at our house until almost 11 p.m., outside for much of that time in the January cold, testing everything until they found the leak. Then they fixed it that night. I was so impressed by their dedication and greatly appreciate the time they took to make sure my family was safe!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY POOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES!! My first run in with Ehrhart was when I bought my camper. It had a full tank of propane that was supposed to come with the purchase. Ehrhart put a lock on the tank immediately within 2 days of the purchase and refused to let the previous owner give the propane to me even though it was already paid for and already agreed upon between myself and the previous owner. They credited him for all of the propane in the full tank and made me pay for it. I got screwed out a full year worth of propane for my camper simply because Ehrhart couldn’t use common sense and just switch the account over to me with the propane that was already paid for. I told them to come pick up their tanks and that I’d never deal with them again. Fast forward a few years... Ehrhart is the only company in south central New York that offer bulk wood pellet delivery so I reluctantly settled for their less than par customer service. I ordered a GALVANIZED pellet hopper for $1500 and around $600 worth of pellets. They offered both a GALVANIZED hopper and a GREEN hopper. I chose the GALVANIZED one because my wife and I didn’t like green. I was told the day before the delivery that they had a GALVANIZED one in stock and that they’d be bringing it the next day. I was at work when they made the delivery, set up the pellet hopper, and filled the hopper. To my surprise I came home to a GREEN hopper, that was filled and there was a huge pile of wasted pellets all over the ground underneath it. My wife said they started filling the hopper with the gate on the bottom wide open causing them to spill onto the ground. When you pay for pellets by the pound, which is measured by scales on the truck before and after the delivery, that is simply not acceptable. I called and complained because we did not like the green hopper, and it’s not what we ordered. I was told “they were giving me the GREEN one for the same price as the GALVANIZED one even though the green normally costs $300 more. I refused their offer because the green one looks awful so they offered to swap the GREEN one out for a GALVANIZED one once it was empty. Fast forward a few months we ran out of pellets. I call them to swap out the GREEN one for the GALVANIZED one and they say that they can’t right now since they STILL don’t have one in stock. So now I have a $1500 hopper sitting outside empty and I have to buy pellets by the bag and bring them home in my car which defeats the whole purpose of buying the hopper in the first place. Very disappointed with their customer service and their business ethics but they’re the only ones offering bulk pellet delivery so I guess I’m stuck....

We needed a larger propane tank for a new hot water heater and an emergency generator. Ehrhart came out, gave us a comprehensive quote and got it installed quickly. The technician that came out (Dan Kershner) was professional and a pleasure to work with. Every interaction that we've had with Ehrhart so far has exceeded our expectation. It's great to find a company these days where customer service remains a priority! Thank you!

Ehrhart Energy is a great company to work with. We have purchased pellets from them for the past three years. Their brands are high quality, and their delivery service is outstanding. They arrive on time and place the pallets right where we want them.We have also started buying our fuel oil from them and having them service our heating equipment. Great service and quality products.

I received prompt, courteous, service. The ton of pellets that I purchased were at a competitive price and were delivered when they were promised. The delivery man was kind enough to help me roll the pallet to the back of my garage on the wheels that I provided. This is my second or third purchase from Ehrhart and I will make my next purchase there when they are needed.
