“I have a few rental units and my contractors use this store even for rental turnover work. I use them when I have smaller projects and for my ow residence.Incredible staff and paint selection, best paint store I have been to. They also carry hard to find pro quality tools and supplies.Not cheap but their inventory is a good value for serious painters. I’m sure if you have any issue they will make it right…they have helped me out multiple times and I’m an engineer- so I know I can be challenging!”
“We love this store for all of our paint needs. The quality of the paint far exceeds any where else we have purchased from. The paint is so thick and just high quality. It’s so easy to clean and with 3 kids and 2 dogs that’s a huge plus. The color selection is outstanding. The staff is super knowledgeable and extremely helpful and professional.”

“Excellent customer service! They make sure to calibrate their machine so you get consistent and accurate color every time. They can even match Sherwin-Williams paint codes as well as scan any color off of an object for an exacting color match, as well. All of the staff are very helpful and most especially Jeff. These guys enjoy what they do and it shows!”

“I was not previously familiar with the Hatchet Hardware stores, and it was not obvious to me that this was (a new) one until I did a search online. There was no obvious sign for that - but plenty of ACE banners - except a letter-sized paper on the front door. The store is quite clean and very well laid out. I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance very shortly after entering the store. The selection of products in the store, ACE and otherwise, satisfies most of my home and garden needs. They're not the only ACE hardware store in my vicinity, and not the closest to me either, but it's great to have this store as another option, especially when I'm shopping in Colonie.”
