77 4th St, Troy“Eclectic alternative to typical grocery store/supermarket experience. Extensive product selection, although you might not recognize the brands. Many opportunities to but bulk, organic, local, and in season. I mean, like they have a fresh brewed Kumbacha bar. Need I say more?”

Empire State Plaza, Food Court, Concourse Level, Albany“Huge selection. Like another reviewer said, the bulk bins are spectacular. They are a throwback to old markets where you would buy your beans and grains and other dry goods out of big containers. Something I used to see occasionally as a child. I bought navy beans here, which I actually had a hard time finding in my local supermarkets. They have a bunch of nifty sections if you want to make your own... Well pretty much anything. There's yeast and kombucha and all kinds of raw and fermented stuff. Huge selection in a small store Now the bad part: if you were looking to spend $200 on groceries that you can carry out in one hand, this is certainly your place, you will have no problem doing that, and a huge selection to choose from. It seems like most of the food quality is a cut above, especially for cheeses and specialty items. However, I can't imagine people shopping here for their daily needs We had a lovely cashier named Val, I am sure we could be good friends! She asked me if we were members of the co-op, and when I asked her what was involved with that, it was a $100 yearly fee and a three hour orientation to become a member. I really admire the people who are committed to such things, but it's just a bit much for me. Happy to go there sometimes to get some specialty items though. One more thing: quite nice and interesting plant selection. Surprising in a little market, but they had all sorts of little cactus and succulents and other plans, really nice little stuff.”
“A friend took me there and I was a kid in the candy store lol. Staff is super kind and knowledgeable. Great selection of veggies and fruit. Let's not talk about the herbalist herbs they have something for every ailment your battling. Wish there was one in Cohoes. Thank you guys for introducing me to a healthy life style.”
“I do most of my shopping elsewhere, but there are a few things that Whole Foods have that no one else in the area carries. Also, they have a great selection of fresh fruit that can't be beat. Have started getting meat from the deli as they have kids of tasty options that don't require any prep, which makes life easier. And the prices are reasonable, even on specialty or unusual items, which is nice.”
“The dude named John was helpful didn't try to sell me thousands of different things told me what he liked and had a quick easy conversation 5 mins out the door cool dude.”
“I have been a customer for years. I always have a great experience. The staff is very knowledgable and never make me feel awkward or inferior. Which is extremely important for me because I have great anxiety. I have dealt with Shane in the Clifton Park store only once in the past. When I arrived, he not only remembered me, he remembered what I bought and what I needed help with. Very impressive!!! Each time, I barely speak a few words of what I am thinking about or looking for and off he goes, full of energy and knowledge. I am so blessed to have him there for me! Thank you GNC and Shane.”
“Never knew this place existed until today and now there’s no going back. Super helpful staff and a vast variety of all things health. They even had my favorite olipop drinks and I got some supplements to help with my thyroid! Win win”
