This Vision works is the best one I've ever been to. I live about 25 min away and I'd rather go here than the one right behind my complex. The optometrist who did the exam was the sweetest, personable, and explained this that I didn't understand. The fact that they have a machine that takes the place of the eye drops for dilation is awesome. And then your just seen by the doctor so much quicker with they system they have set up to do their part all on telehealth. Everything is so quick and painless and without feeling rushed. I was given all the right information about my copay's and they worked with my insurance and my budget. Highly recommend.

Everyone was courteous and professional. They made sure I got what I requested and went above and beyond getting me the glasses I needed to fit in my budget. I will continue to go to them.

Danya (I left her card at home, but I think that's her name). She did all my eye tests before I met with the doctor virtually and she was absolutely fantastic. Clearly she knows her job and she loves her job. She has the ability to make people feel at ease and comfortable. She's knowledgeable, she listens, and she's attentive. She was fantastic and the highlight of my experience.The woman who completed my order, I also took her card and her name escapes me, but she was equally fantastic. She helped me select my glasses, gave me honest feedback that was needed, and was kind and extremely helpful. It must be difficult in her position if a customer asks her input or advice on what glasses to select, but she has the ability to do so in a respectful, kind, and supportive manner.Truly top notch service. Now I haven't gotten my glasses yet so hopefully that process will be just as seamless.

I had a great experience at Visionworks. I was able to book my appointment online. When I went in, I was seen (no pun intended) right on time.The staff at Visionworks was incredible from start to finish. They asked me to take my contacts off for my visit and provided me with a spare case for them. The doctor said my eyes were adapting beautifully to the contacts (which I have only been wearing for a year) and there were no issues. My prescription didn't change at all since my last visit a year ago. The staff told me what was covered by my insurance and gave me a quote on my contacts. Even when I said I wanted ti see if I could get them cheaper elsewhere, they had no problem and gave me a copy of my prescription. (I got them for almost a hundred dollars cheaper at 1800contacts but I suspect that's because they buy in bulk and are able to give a better deal to the consumer).Visionworks uses top-of-the-line tech to check my eyes and keep me seeing 20/20.

Overall the exam went smoothly, a bit of a wait past my appointment time and another bit of a wait before I could sit down with the fitter after the exam, but nothing worth throwing a hissy fit over, probably an above average waiting experience for any medical appointment.My only real gripe was this: I ordered two pairs of glasses. Their website said the second pair was on back order so I waited a few days hoping for them to show up before going in to pick up pair #1 (regular glasses) to avoid having to make two trips. Eventually I caved and went just to pick up pair #1. As it turns out, pair #2 (Rx sunglasses) came in at the same time as pair #1, was there the whole time, and they had no clue why the website ever showed them as back ordered.

The customer service and courtesy of staff was excellent, however, if you make a later in the day appointment, there is not enough staff to get you in and out quickly.

My husband and I had appointments scheduled back to back. We had to bring our 6 month old son with us. The staff was very understanding and accommodating. They got us in and out quickly without making it feel rushed. The young lady who was with me during my telehealth exam offered to hold the baby and kept him occupied so we could get through the exam successfully. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

For the most part my visit was very professional and courteous. I was seen fairly quickly, doctors were professional and polite. It was after the exam while waiting to see what a feel is a salesperson to order frames things were confusing. The Salesperson told me to look around and select frames I liked, they offered no assistance as to what would be covered in my medical plan so I selected frames as well as sunglasses and then the bill came up which was, in my opinion absurd. This having been my first optometrist visit in almost 20 years (ok I procrastinated) I went with it. Now all over the office there were signs that said, “Pay with Affirm.” Yet, no one knew how it worked, I figured it out. So my frames were ready quickly and I picked them up which did involve a slight wait but, I get it they wanted to check the fit and what an improvement! All in all they did their job but I think the Salesperson was there for just that, sales. I really wish someone explained the bill better to me. I feel they were overpriced and in the end it was like a good used car from a bad used car lot. Next year I’ll shop, and I suggest you do too.

Accompanied a person with autism to the store. Not cognitive disability friendly. We were not given an overview of what the exam process would entail, or what his options and choices were at all. It was not disclosed that this would be a telehealth visit, the front desk and sales communication skills were extremely poor, limited eye contact, zero inflection, emotionally disengaged. This is the behavior with the place fully empty, I can't imagine this place functioning under pressure. They literally do not care. I've been to budget eyeglass stores before and this is rock bottom. Would have been one star but did overhear excellent repair service and engagement from one staff member in the back of the store. He has no out of pocket in network vision coverage and he was not informed of any additional fees. This has been reported to customer service email as well.

I see an ophthalmologist because of damage to my left eye. Vision Works assured me that they would not do anything unnecessary and made me feel assured they were going to make sure that I had a good experience. I was very impressed!!

It’s always busy at Vision works but this particular day I was in a rush. Naahayah and Danal are extremely helpful and did their best to get me in and out and back to work! These two are awesome!

I visited Empire Visionworks last week. Dr. Brehm treated me for a routine eye exam. In the middle of the exam I questioned if the strength was right for one of my eyes which sent him into a state of craziness. He ended up cussing me out (mostly f bombs), kicked me out of the room and wrote me an Rx without even completing my exam. He told me how he was sick of patients like me bit**ing all the time. It was wildly inappropriate for anyone to react this way let alone a licensed optometrist. The manager was nice and apologized and said she would investigate. I hope she does because I worry that another patient will not react as calmly as me in the future and more harm will take place. Stay away from this dude.

Woman at front end service desk is miserable and a horrible customer service rep. Came in with my wife after 3 years (due to covid) and instantly remembered why I hated this place.

Have continued to have a good experience with the Troy store for many years. Had a small issue one time with a rude worker. This issue was immediately resolved by Danae. She is a wonderful person to deal with. She is extremely efficient and unbelievable kind and understanding. Thank you Danae for your continued professionalism, you are pleasure!
