Dennis, Ian and crew at Tonawanda Woodworks converted our queen mahogany bed frame to a king. They: 1) came to our house to discuss the project, looked at other furniture in the room for design ideas, disassembled the bed frame, wrapped it in moving blankets, and transported it to their shop, 2) After constructing a burl center piece encompassed in marquetry inspired by our other bedroom furniture, they sent us pictures and invited us to come to the shop to approve/modify the design. 3) Once we approved, they stained and finished the new work and cleaned/repaired/restained any nicks or blemishes anywhere on the frame, and again sent us pictures and invited us down to inspect the project. 4) They made arrangements to deliver the frame, and assembled it only to find that cleats on the side rails interfered with movement of an adjustable mattress base. 5) They immediately disassembled the frame, took the side rails back to the shop, trimmed the cleats, restained them, and had them back to us in one business day whereupon they reassembled the frame, and centered the bed on the wall. The joinery is excellent and the finish superb - truly top tier furniture grade. And the service could not have been better. In addition to being first rate craftsmen, these guys listen well, are creative, courteous and respectful and make working with them a genuine pleasure. They more than deserve a five star rating!

My wife and I had the pleasure to work with Ian and his team in designing two amazing pieces that have become centerpieces of our home and we expect many generations of our family to enjoy. The pride and joy of our dining room is the live-edge dining table that they designed and built for us. Ian made sure that it was designed not only to desire but to the scale and scope of the room. It's the table that every family dreams to have their family and friends gather around for food, drink and memories.
The second piece that Ian and his team built was a beautiful and classic wine/liquor hutch that twins the table and provides an elegant piece to store and show off our wine and liquor collection.

I brought my table there last spring.It's an old oak table with a lower shelf,carved legs and claw feet.It was inherited.The wood was very dry,there was a drink ring on the top surface,and the bottom shelf corners disintegrated so the screws wouldn't hold it in.Had a great conversation with Dennis.He explained what he could do,assured me it would look nice,and quoted me a price which I think was beyond reasonable.I told him I didn't need it back until a few weeks before Halloween and his guys dropped it off on 10/7 right at the agreed time.All I can say is I can't believe it's the same table!I imagine this is how it looked 70 or 80 years ago brand new.The bottom shelf is new but I would never guess it's not the original piece.The stain,finish,the clean up done around the claw feet and balls-beautiful!Dennis and his guys very nice,knowledgeable and professional.I have a couple other pieces I'd like to have done in the future,and I won't hesitate to call him again.

Took three months to get back a small piece of furniture. No follow up , calls weren't returned Not thrilled with the process after I left my item to be refinished it

This was a high gloss reddish butlers table that Tonawanda Woodworks brought new patina and color. Love that you can now see the grain and beauty of the wood.
