First time filing professionally and I will probably never file with this location again.
-I went into the location because I had questions about my taxes. I spent over 2.5 hours there and didn’t even get to ask the questions because it was such a struggle to just file the taxes. There was support needed from another staff member at every single step. There was even basic information that was over explained to me with confidence that turned into a “never mind I guess I was incorrect I’m not sure” or a “my bad”later on.
-While I was there I was very uncomfortable because in the cubicles next to me there were unhappy customers who were later talked bad about when they left saying things like “I hate when she comes in” “Omg she is so annoying” “her voice drives me insane” “please don’t give them to me again”
-I told my tax professional that I just lost my Job and was low on funds they kept trying to get me to pay $400+ that same day and then kept asking me to reach out to my family and friends to see if they would give me money to the point where I was confused and uncomfortable. I Ended up finding out it was never even necessary and that I did not even need to pay that same day.
-When it was time for me to pay for filling it was uncomfortable as well because I was given a discount for being a first time customer that the tax professional seemed to be upset about which made me even more uncomfortable
-Afterwards I ended up finding out that there is an issue with my refund based on questions that were asked multiple times that I was told incorrect information about and I was set up for a payment that I could not afford and I told them that I could not afford it.
The supervisor told me that they can’t fix it but I could go and set up an account and fix it myself and that the person was new and we all have to start somewhere…
I understand being new but this is not a fast food restaurant where it’s okay if you got an order wrong, these are peoples lives. The proper training is clearly not being done and they clearly don’t care for their customers. I would have preferred an apology or some sort of compensation over an excuse.
I was VERY patient through out this entire process but won’t be coming back to this unprofessional establishment again.

They lobbied the government to prevent them from sending out free and simple returns. Companies like H & R block PURPOSELY lobby and pay politicians to keep filing taxes as complicated as possible so they can continue their pathetic business model.

Don't go here! What an absolute disaster and clown show.We were out with a part time employee, Gerard D'Souza, who was absolutely clueless on how to use the computer systems. Took over 2.5 hours, cost over $800 just to file, and he repeatedly had to go get help from a full time employee who requested he hand it off multiple times and Gerard refused. He was more concerned with just getting them done and getting home than taking care of us.I have minimal confidence my taxes are even correct after the whole experience, and it cost be nearly double what it did last year with our previous rep (non-HR block).Update: the taxes were NOT done correctly. Absolute hose job by the rep. He entered every single 1099 to jack up with filing cost, when it was entirely unnecessary for our type of taxes. Misrepresented our total income by over $50,000, increasing our tax bracket due to incompetence on his understanding of tax law. We are already working with a different CPA to file an amendment.AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE HOW BAD THEY ARE.

I've been good to Nancy for a few years now at the H&R block on the boulevard. I'm thankful she has helped me for so many years. She's made it easy, comfortable and stress free every time. I feel relaxed and no need to worry. She's very professional and relatable. She makes you feel at home all while providing the best service possible. Thank you again. Highly recommend
