“Queen City Pitties is a great nonprofit/volunteer run organization. I myself have fostered and helped with others foster dogs within QCP. They have the best intentions for the animals they are able to intake. Each new volunteer that helps in the organization gives them the ability to take on more dogs in need. This organization tries to do anything they can in order to ensure the dogs put into foster care are given the best of the best to grow and get ready for their new furever home.
I highly recommend this organization not only to find a new furbaby, but to help as a volunteer. It really is rewarding.”
“My experience with BPASBR was fantastic all the way. We were looking for a small breed as a companion for our mini beagle after his sister passed, and most of what is up for adoption in Buffalo is the usual batch of pit mixes, so it's great to have a place that specializes in smaller dogs. We researched a couple of adoptable animals and, when our first choice got adopted ahead of us, they recommended another dog for a home visit. That visit didn't go well, as the potential adoptee showed no interest in our dog and vice-versa. The foster parent/volunteer saw it, too, and when we said "no thank you," she agreed that it wasn't a good match and said our home was approved for when the right one came along--no pressure, just honest communication. A few weeks later, we brought our boy to their site on Military to meet a recently surrendered corgi girl. The play space was clean and well-supervised, and the two dogs hit it off immediately. We came again the following day, again with our dog, to see about some other candidates. None of them seemed a good fit this time, and again, all of the volunteers recognized it and seemed more interested in finding good homes than simply moving the dogs along. We agreed to adopt the corgi, BPASBR communicated a timeline for her spay and shots, and they made an off-hours appointment for the handoff when the time came. Everyone was friendly, honest, and communicative, and we are absolutely overjoyed to have baby Audrey in our lives. Thank you for all that you do Buffalo Pug and Small Breed Rescue!”
