“Sam is a wonder. Works hard, keeps order, yet he remains always cordial to all who present. The man deserves a raise in my book. Location is convenient. They’ll get you what you want if they can.”

“Exceptional wine store. We live in Brooklyn and come by here to buy wine when we are in the area. Exceptional customer service- Katie recently helped me find a hard to source champagne from France from a smaller producer- she was professional and lovely. Highly recommend.”

10AM - 9PM
350 Lucas Ave, Kingston“They have a great selection of wine and liquor and are always expanding. The team is so friendly and willing to make sure you find exactly what you are looking for. If you are looking for something special, just ask and they will order it for you. Don't settle for anyplace else. Support your local shops!”
“Maloney's is off the beaten path closer to town, but this is my favorite local liquor store. Selection is the best overall even if the place could be organized a bit better. Thankfully you can just ask what you're looking for and the friendly staff is happy to help. That's what really separates this place from the others; a friendly liquor store is hard to come by, especially when they're knowledgeable as well. Maybe Windmill is walkable in town and Town and Country is more established, but this is my go to. Pricing is fair as well.”
“The selection of wine and spirits is unparalleled in Kingston. I knew I really liked this place when I met the owner, Robert. He and his staff are fantastic. Kingston is lucky to have a shop like this!”
“I went to buy something specific that my son wanted. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.I found the item easily, the store was very neat and clean and bright .overall great experience ?”
“The staff is so welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable! Peggy, the store owner is the best and does so much for the local community! Support local businesses that support the community!”
“Yesterday, I had the worst day, Ever! Plz don't ask. I decided it was an expensive tequila day. Like I can do a whole lot of damage with that anymore lol. I think I need to date myself tho lol. I'm a very cheap date now. Shh, don't tell anyone plz lol. 3 sips of my expensive tequila & it was suddenly today. Yay! I tried calling a few Liquor Stores, before speaking with Terrence at Merchant Wines & failed miserably. Terrence is a new hero to me now! Honestly, I've tried moving a pic to here. Nope. Part of my crap leftover mood, from past few weeks! Terrence didn't have any problems with me asking him questions about the tequila he had available or Knew about, nor about the Tequila I was looking for. He even Knew about the Mescal I was looking for! It's never available in States! Holy you know what here! WoW! He had none of the Mescal, but spoke with me at length about the Tequila he had. I told him my spending range & he told me what he had & Could Deliver To Me Too! WoW! What a difference A Phone Call makes!!! To a different Store! Add Terrence, et voila! Magic happens! I settled on expensive-expensive Tequila, written twice on purpose here lol. It is, but damnnn is it delish! It arrived within the hour. About 20 years ago I quit drinking. Couldn't stand taste or smells of alcohol! Alcohol is empty calories, just like fake foods. So, I just quit drinking. Wasn't hard, just smelling it on others. Yuck. Sorry. In other words, this was my 1st alcohol in 20 years. Yup. Now do you understand why 3 sips?! But, I did drink outta bottle like a pirate! Fun. Terrence went to trouble of explaining the distillation process of tequila, I was now panting for, to me. Guess he couldn't hear me panting lol. He was not only Professional, he was Kind & Patient! Funny too. I was cussing like a sailor yesterday! I took my fowl (lol foul, I know! Ok?!) language muzzle off! He just said, "Not a problem!" Each time, I apologized for my language muzzle being off completely! A gentleman too! Holy moly-diff word wants out badly now! Nope! I'm serious! He couldn't have been more perfect if he'd tried! Not kidding here! He "warned" me, about how the tequila was processed to be clear. He explained that it might have lost some of its earthy flavors in this process. While I may not have been drinking, doesn't mean I haven't been keeping abreast of Industry! Well, not just abreast lol. Nevermind me plz! Nope! I even called him back after 1st sip & told him it was soo good. Yumm I'd completely forgotten how absolutely lovely numb can feel. Especially for a few minutes! I love being Alive, but, please forgive my language here-You were warned! Life ain't for puzies! I guess unless you're a cat. Pbtt. Numb is ok, if done under my unblinking eyes lol. Well, for me anyway! Terrence man, You saved me yesterday! Thank You Sir! I am indebted to you now. Thank you for your kindness, your time, your efforts & the absolutely perfect tequila yesterday! Thank You Every Day Sir, for your Respectful Kindness towards me, when I was literally falling apart Sir! It's Your Treatment Of Me I Shall Never Ever Forget! Not to mention any future sips of Excellent Tequila I drink. Holy Yumm! Infinite Thanks Terrence! Jolie xx & gratitude”

138 Smith Ave, Kingston“Really friendly staff, can't complain about anything really. Prices might be a bit higher than bigger stores but they're also more conveniently located and the people are nicer so it's a trade I'm happy to make.”
“Best quality wine and spirits in the Hudson Valley. Excellent selection, wine on offer is globally sourced, and has the best selection of the highest quality spirits. Prices very reasonable ; owner and staff are very helpful. Give great wine recommendations. Can’t go wrong at this hidden gem as it’s not in the main village square if Red Hook but about 4 clicks north on Route 9. Easy parking too.”
“Quite a variety of quality wines from diverse wine regions. Though I've experienced quite a few over my years, Can't wait to explore more here. Tried a decent Governors Bay (NZ) Sauvignon Blanc and we enjoyed it. Can never go wrong with NZ wines. Old style shop ambience was pleasant too.”

1221 Ulster Ave, Kingston“If you need kegs in the Catskills, this is the place. I got married in Roxbury recently and Beer World took care of all our beer needs. Shank, Tor, and Cody made everything a breeze. They held my hand through the whole process, making sure we had enough for 100 thirsty guests plus taps and ice. There was even a snag with one of their suppliers recalling a brand. They contacted me immediately and subbed in a slightly more expensive option for no extra charge. Good beer, great dudes, and a seamless party provisioning process. Thanks Beer World!”

“If you are shopping for wine, THIS is the best shop in the area. The owner is a very knowledgeable wine connoisseur, whose expertise can help you select the perfect bottle. When the owner is not present, an elegant young man runs the store with an extensive amount of knowledge of wines, well versed on the regions & types of grapes, who can spurt off a quick summary of each wine, and help you choose something perfectly specific to what you like. I have gone into this shop, and wirh very little info from me about what I'm lokking for, both individuals helped me to select wines that became my favorites. Both assist shoppers with a friendly, easy going tone, while being so thoroughly educated , that it makes picking up a bottle, a nice, no pressure, easy experience. They have excellent excellent wines that are low price point, along with mid price point, as well as some of the finest most high end wines. Currently I'm enjoying an affordable bottle of cotes du Rhone that I never would have chosen without the help of the gentlemen working at the store. In addition to wines, the store has all the spirits you may need , minus the gross , hangover inducing, and college party worthy liquors that would ruin the classy aesthetic of this wonderful shop.Basically, the offerings of this store fit w the vibe that the interior and the owner have created, a CURATED selection of what you want to be drinking this evening, or bringing to your next dinner w friends.I noticed there where a couple bad reviews, one was prices high- no not true, they have some amazing wines for around $10-$14. They also have the regular liquors at their regular prices. No they don't sell low end barefoot $6 bottles of wine. But ew gross that Would ruin the integrity of the shop.Second they mentioned bad customer service and this couldn't be more wrong. As many positive reviews state, customer service is exactly why the local clientele keep coming back. These reviews of poor customer service e were prob just salty or offended after they came in asking for big box brand cheesy wines like "sutter home" or gross liquors like Jim beam.maybe these people felt out of place when the owner couldn't help them find "yellowtail".When I step in this store, I'm not stepping into some generic big box liquour store and wanting to grab and go because the store & experience of wine/alcoholic shopping feels "ick"... rather, I'm stepping into a classic asthetic of historical wooden shelving, beautiful bottles, and I feel like I could be in France, or Italy, last but not least, the owner and his gentleman staff member respect and love wine, and you want to support a privately owned business like that when you are buying wine.r”
“We asked for help as to what wine would go good with pizza(Ichore) also, what with be a good dinner wine (Martinelli) the gentleman helping us was very helpful in choosing the right one ! The cashier was knowledgeable on Crown Royal, which will be our next purchase”
“Wow! Endless praise for this gem of a find in quaint Tivoli... Upon walking in and noticing the inviting touches of the decor (super gorgeous wood and copper bar, warm and hip ambience, specials largely posted on the back chalkboard, and the incredibly attentive greeting from Jeff...starts you off for a perfect beginning...a delicious drink made by Liz...I'm ready! And then there is Chef Rei's delectable food. Holy camolies! (Actually, I have to admit, a strong, yet highly endearing slew of expletives came from me as I took my first bite...that's how out of control delicious this food was...!) The vichyssoise blew me away. Happily (and not easily) humbled, I savored each and every bite as Jeff brought out every dish...I am a Chef, and it is such a refreshing and utterly delightful experience to eat the finely tuned dishes of a better Chef...hats off, big time! Salads that had nuance and fine flavors with every happy forkful, appetizers and mains that will blow you away, not only visually, but with the incredible aromas and discerning flavor combinations...crazy inventive and fresh...! Dessert...heavenly...went for the churros and almost asked to simply stay the night! Oh my! Will definitely recommend to everyone and will absolutely be back! Looking forward to trying their ramen night family meal...for certain! Bravissimo to this small and hearty team that deserve serious praise...!”
