The Riverwalk is wonderful. We drove 60 miles to see it, and it was worth the trip. The mountains across the Hudson are spectacular. Was sad that the lighthouse was closed, Bring a jacket because it can be very breezy.
.The playground was big, and even had a water feature.
Very dog friendly, and owners were considerate of picking up after their pets.
The restrooms were clean the day we went.
Parking is free on Sundays. I don't know the weekday rates.
As a side trip, we went home over the Bear Moutain bridge (free) and traveled down the Palisades Pkwy. to see more views.

Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs on leashes.

This place is beautiful. It has developed in the years that I moved from Tarrytown. I still love going back even if it's just to sit and people watch it walk the scenic route with my husband. Absolutely beautiful ?

It's a beautiful setting for a scenic stroll or picnic. The views of the Tappan Zee bridge and the skyline or lighthouse are stunning, especially at sunset. There are good places to dine nearby. Area is residential, however clean and quiet. Parking is easy and available.
