I've been coming to see Rita at Ilda's for years. Now I'm moving with my family to CA and I have to say that Rita is the BEST stylist I've ever had. She's warm, kind, super fun to chat with and of course, she always gave a fantastic cut every time. Rita and the whole team at Ilda's absolutely cannot be replaced. I don't know what I'm gonna do, honestly. The bar has been set so high! Thank you, Rita, for being so amazing!

For context - I'm a 40ish year old guy who kept his hair short for 12 years. Since covid started, I hadn't gotten a hair cut since April 2020. By December of 2020, it was about collar bone length, I loved the length of it so I definitely want to keep it, just needed to give it some shape. I went to my barber who I've been going to for years and he was honest and told me he will butcher it and to find a stylist. He told me to find someone with experience in cutting long hair, especially curly hair like mine. I went to 4 salons in 2 years and never wrote reviews because it demanded I give them at least 1 star when they deserved 0. All of the places I went to were friendly, but if i wanted to pay $50+ to not have them listen to what I wanted and look like I cut my hair myself with a steak knife, it would have saved me time and money. After every one of these bad cuts, I would realize how bad it looked and how much time I would have to wait to get it back to the length I wanted only to have the next stylist mess it up again. I was thinking of tying knives to a ceiling fan and standing on a chair under it to go show them the results were the same. Then I went to Ilda's salon in Tarrytown.I was lucky enough to make an appointment with Ilda and I'm glad I did because she's amazing! Super experienced and knew exactly what to do. She's a straight shooter, told me I'm in a phase before my hair becomes the length I want and she will just do a little maintenance as I wait for it to grow. Awesome experience and a 45 minute trip, but so worth it when I got there. Ilda is beautiful, everyone at the salon was on point & friendly. Went in with my elderly mother, to do a new. Color, loved it so much I got a haircut and I normally don't go to a salon for that. But I loved it and my wife that was with me ended up getting a cut and new color because of how beautiful my mom's hair came out. Very cozy place, we love the staff and ambiance. Good Job?? keep up the great customer service and attitude

Bella gave me my first Ouidad curly cut & style. Amazing. She is so knowledgeable about curly hair care and has a great energy. The salon is clean, COVID-safe, professional, and staff is friendly. Weeks later I'm still loving my cut. Thanks Bella :)
