This location does not exist. DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ. They are a shell company and not interested in actual service. It’s impossible to get anyone from customer service on the line and if you do they’re located in the Philippines. The level of incompetence is absolutely stunning.

Rent anywhere else the employees are absolutely incompetent it’s almost surprising this is an actual business being run in this manner. Also no one picks up the phone !!
Good thing enterprise is right down the road and they are attentive and answer the phone !!!

I read the poor reviews and foolishly ignored them. "How bad could it be", I wondered. Don't make the same mistake I did!They didn't have a car for me - on a prepaid rental! And the whole process leading up to presenting me with a huge GMC SUV instead of the medium sedan I had reserved felt 'off'. It took an oddly long time during which they wanted me away from the desk even though they had my drivers license and then they insisted I remain where I was when they got the vehicle. It felt like they were 'hiding something'...which it turned out they were. Worse, they were completely unwilling to help in any way when I refused the GMC. I had to call Hertz from the lobby myself. Thankfully, because of my status I was able to reach someone on the phone fairly quickly.Unfortunately, because the pickup process took forever it was now almost 5PM and I was only given the options of going to the airport to pick up a car or receive a refund of my prepaid reservation - I chose the refund.

Phone number didn’t work. When I got there to drop car off, no one was there. A piece of paper had another number to call, that number didn’t work either.

After reading other comments, i realized I was right the first time when I complained that the cars was not cleaned. It appeared to be clean but it wasn't. Also, I got an email this week that I was charged toll which I am happy to pay but what is convenience fee? I used my own Ez-Pass and I am not sure how I got charged. My issue is with the convenience fee, when I didn't even use the ezpass. I would like an explanation of convenience.

Be prepared to wait for your car, told the guy we'd be right back with our licenses went out for a half hour break with no one to cover the desk. Ended up waiting with another couple 25 mins for him to finish his "morning break". It's currently 11:30am

Horrible experience at this location. Car was filthy inside and out but all that was available when I rented. I had to clean the inside myself as the smell of BO was so bad…upon returning the vehicle they hit my credit card with a $400 cleaning fee saying I had pet hair in the car. I never had a dog in the car!!! They are a shady operation just trying to get over on people. Avoid this branch at all costs…

I needed an extended rental while my vehicle had warranty work completed. I decided to rent from Hertz because they had better prices than Enterprise. I used the Tarrytown location because it was more convenient than anywhere else. BIG MISTAKE!!! The gentleman at the counter was pleasant and professional, but he brought the rental out for me I was disappointed at how dirty the car looked on the outside. It was a cold, grey and rainy day so it was a bit of an expedited process of getting into the car. When I got into the car there was definitely a lingering scent of B.O. that was less than pleasant. I didn't realize until driving at night how dirty the windshield was that you could barely see out of it when oncoming cars had their headlights aimed at you. When I got home I cleaned the inside of the windshield and sprayed the car with deodorizer. I did this repeatedly over a few days to address the smell...I think I just started getting used to it after awhile. I did try calling Hertz to complain but getting any kind of customer support on the phone is virtually impossible. I had the car for almost 3 weeks. When I returned it I handed the keys to a different representative and he said he would email a receipt later. When I got my final receipt I was shocked that they charged me a $400 cleaning fee!!! Upon seeing this charge I called multiple numbers before finally reaching the Tarrytown branch and was informed that I was being charged a cleaning fee due to dog hair being found. I explained that I never had a dog in the car and that the vehicle was dirty when I got it and in fact was probably cleaner upon my return than how I received it. Tobias the Hertz representative said there was nothing he could do at this point that the charge had already been put through. I then called Hertz corporate to complain and try to get the charges reversed. The customer support person while understanding of my frustration could only provide $100 off the $400 charge. I explained that anything less than a full credit of the $400 was unacceptable. He said he would have to escalate the issue with his supervisor and that would take 7-10 business days. I would advise avoiding this Hertz branch as they clearly have some shady practice of getting people to roll over and pay these cleaning fees to compensate for the cleaning that they themselves should be doing. Avoid this rental location at all costs!!!!

Hertz is expensive but the reason I'm giving 5 starts is because of the staff. The lady on the counter is amazing.Its located inside the hotel building and on the left side after entering through the main door. A little confusing but you can find it.

We recently had the pleasure of renting from this Hertz location, because of a very high-stress situation with their rival local Enterprise (we had confirmed a reservation with Enterprise, only to have it cancelled that morning, leaving us very much up a creek). By chance, because it is not her usual location, we worked with Dariella, and entirely thanks to her, we are now loyal Hertz customers.She was a real pleasure, and our hero that day, able to get us a car and turn a potentially very bad day into a very good one. I hope that Hertz recognizes the value that she adds to their establishment. Thank you, Dariella!(More on the location: this Hertz is very small and certainly understaffed, poor girl was there by herself. It is convenient to get to, easy to rent from)

Matt and Calvin do a great job. They have worked hard to get more SUV’s and the cars are clean and ready to go on upon pickup. They work hard and are dedicated employees. I rent from this location almost weekly and the guys always make sure I have a vehicle to meet my needs. I would be up the creek without this location. The location is well run by Calvin and Matt and they are really friendly and do their best each and every time I need a rental even if it’s at the last minute.

This place is falsely advertised, I was charged extra fees last minute and had no choice but to pay them. The car itself was also not clean. I recommend renting from any other place at all costs, this Hertz is horrible.
