I could have given a rating lower than one if there was a place for it. Horrible customer care, unprofessional staff that have seasoned rudeness works here. This is what happened to my family, today 02/07/2022, and I hope the supervisor sees my feedback and reaches our to me to resolve the issue. Last Monday, I scheduled a travel passport appointment on Saturday at 11:45 am at the Eastwood USPS located at 2509 James Street. We braved the cold weather and the heavy snow with children and showed up at the USPS at Syracuse, Eastwood, at exactly 11:30 am to ensure we arrived there 10 minutes before the appointment, as was the direction on the online scheduler. The appointment was confirmed both online and by text message. On arrival, we met a white woman at the counter who declared that she wasn't authorized to process passport applications as she was just subbing at the location that day. However, she acknowledged the lack of commitment from USPS and agreed to schedule our appointment today, Mon. 02/07/2022, at 12:30pm at the exact location (Eastwood USPS), which we gladly accepted. We used our lunch break, interrupted the kids learning, and showed up for the same appointment for the second time at the exact location 15 minutes before our appointment. This time we were met by an African American woman who said she wasn't authorized to process the passport application and the location wasn't authorized. However, it's listed on the US State portal, but she promised to call another USPS location nearby to see if they can take us on a last-minute request because it was the USPS's mistake. She wasn't successful in scheduling us for the said last-minute request. As the black woman explained to us the next possible plan, a white woman at the next counter yelled at us that we needed to leave and call the Post Office supervisor because there was nothing they could do since it wasn't their fault that we had an appointment, but their location was listed by the US State portal yet they could not process the application. She added that they had other people waiting in line. Her loud yell could be heard by the people standing on the line, and the woman serving us was surprised because her colleague was clearly meddling in her service.I told her that she clearly needed to shut up because she wasn't serving us, and the woman helping us wasn't complaining. Before she completed her sentence, a black African American man was already yelling at us, "YOU WILL NOT GET PASSPORTS, YOU COME HERE TO TAKE OUR JOBS, GO TO YOUR COUNTRY." He even added that he was willing to attack us.All this was caused by the rude USPS employee who wasn't serving us in the first place, and who felt the need to harass us. She even threatened to call police on us if didn't leave. Eastwood USPS, you can do better! Educate your employees on basic customer care relations.

This post office is constantly losing my packages and when they do deliver them on time they forget to put the package key in my apartment mailbox. I’ll call the get it fixed and a lot of the time no one answers. I wish I could give less than one star.

I've been coming to this location for many years, but ever since all the old service clerks retired the customer service has gone way down. From now on, I'll be using a different post office.

I'm glad this post office was here because I needed to drop off some postcards. The only drawback was that they open too late in the morning. Some of us have to get to work in the morning so their hours are not too convenient for everyone.

Whenever I go to the Eastwood NY post office Ashley is always pleasant and courtesy to myself and others there! I have a post office box there, and I am grateful that she always does a great job when I go in. There have been in the past year and a half since I got a post office box some really nice workers. There is only one worker there (very short woman ) who all of a sudden one day started to act indifferent towards me. What I ever did to her is beyond me (besides not wear a mask?!). She is juvenile to me like we were in elementary school and I was some boy who thought she was cute (I don't) and she acted rudely to me ever since?! Odd. But I have nothing but POSITIVE towards Ashley!!

Clerk lied to my face that she was unable to send packages because they didn't have a return label because she did not want to send them. Awful service, (these packages were postage paid return service to a major business)

This location needs employees that really want to work, more friendly with better customer service. Went here with a big package already had the label and everything but they told me i Should take it down the street to post net, went to post net they told me that the package was definitely going with the USPS ♀️ In other words the clerk did not want to pick up the box so they decided to send me somewhere else.

Change of Address service not available at this location. Which is pretty ridiculous; making people go out of their way to another post office.
And no, it doesn't help that you can do it online b/c some people need to change from a business address/ mailbox, not residential...and you can't change that online.

Friendly and fast service; sometimes there's a long line but it tends to move right along. There is a classic Eastwood hometown vibe, a unique quiet elegance characteristic of this small-town-within-a-city. At this Post Office, they advise you accurately on what to purchase to best accomplish your delivery goals without going over-budget. That's refreshing.
